Welcome the latest in our series about the popular game Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes where we take a look at the best mods for individual SWGoH characters. While I do not claim to have all of the answers in this game, I do my research and have used every toon I write about extensively. For the Clone segment of the best mods articles, my Guildmate Adelka has been kind enough to offer his thoughts and what has worked for him.
Today’s toon to review mods for will be Fives (CT-5555), one of the easier toons to farm in Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes. During the Clone Wars this guy figured it all out – that Chancellor Palpatine was a bad guy and that the clones were programmed by their inhibitor chips to do as commanded. So this whole Empire thing could have been avoided had he not been framed for trying to kill Palpatine…
For the purpose of SWGoH, Fives was formerly an oft-seen player in the Arena battles and still serves an important purpose. Used correctly, CT-5555 can prove to be a very valuable member of your AAT or Heroic AAT team for Phase 2 or Phase 4 alongside his clone brothers.
Main Focus: If HAAT dominance is your goal, Fives is likely best when you focus on offense. Just like Cody, Fives does need a speed boost, and potency is important as well, but we will focus on upping that offense since he often gets multiple attacks.
Additional Areas to Focus: Potency is a must given the need to get speed down on the opponent and speed is beneficial too. Critical Chance and Critical Damage are pretty much the norm anymore with this game, but I would not put an entire set of four CD mods on Fives.
Note that this is written with the Zeta material in mind as Adelka states “because of Fives Zeta you also don’t need much speed on him as he’s getting TM a lot every time someone takes damage.”
Ideal Mod Setup for SWGoH CT-5555 Fives:
Since Fives is one of the easiest toons to farm many may just put some of their early mods on him and let him be. However, given the extra attacks when speed down is on the opponent, the high potency, high CD and high offense are seen as strategic differences.
- Transmitter (Square) – Offense mod with focus on offense and secondary focus on speed, critical chance, potency and protection
- Receiver (Arrow) – Offense mod with +30 speed
- Processor (Diamond) – Critical Chance mod with focus on defense and secondary focus on speed, critical chance, potency and protection
- Holo-Array (Triangle) – Critical Chance mod with +36% critical damage
- Data-Bus (Circle) – Offense mod with focus on protection and secondary focus on speed, critical chance, potency and protection
- Multiplexer (Plus) – Offense mod with +24% potency
Note: Transmitter, Processor and Data-Bus mods are MUCH more common. If you can maximize the stats from these using a MK V, Tier A mod that is ideal.
