Welcome to the latest in our series of articles about the Transformers Earth Wars mobile game where we take a look at the best Power Cores for each bot. While our staff will never claim to have all of the answers for TFEW, we do our homework and test out each bot to ensure we are making only the best recommendations.

Today’s bots to review Power Cores for are Sludge & Straxus. Sludge, originally known as Sludge and for a while in TFEW known as Slog, along with and Straxus are two of the tankiest bots in the game. They are amongst the bots with the highest HP in the game, but have abysmal DPS. This often puts them on the front lines with huge targets on their backs by the defending base. However, their Seismic Charge ability has some great uses, especially against bases where the defenses are interwoven. Power Cores can be used to either amp up their defensive capabilities or their specials.

Best Power Core for Sludge & Straxus:

Wallbuster – Of note is that most Power Cores do not help a bot’s special ability, so ones that do should be carefully looked at. Straxus’ & Sludge’s Seismic Charge ability is awesome against base defenses that are interwoven into walls, like a honeycomb shape. The more walls that are in the damage area, the more damage is done to the defenses. The damage to walls is 4 times standard damage! So why not just take them out? The Wallbuster Core does a lot to really amp up his ability by causing even more damage to walls and decimating one of a bases most important defensive delaying structures. Other options like the Rejuvination Core or Vitality Core help add to Straxus’ & Sludge’s high survivability as they are quite tanky.
