You can get toads in Toad Rally by getting coins and doing cool moves to win against other people. The toads will come to your kingdom. The toads cheering for you and your opponent come to your kingdom if you win. If you lose you lose some of your toads.

In Mario Run Mario runs for you. You can unlock Toad by connecting to a Nintendo Account. You can only get red toads until you pay to get the other 6 worlds.
