SWGoH: Best Mods for Cassian Andor

Welcome to the best mods for Cassian Andor, the latest article in our series about the popular game Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes where we take a look at the best mods for each SWGoH character. While I do not claim to have all of the answers in this game, I do my research and have used every character I write about extensively. These are mod recommendations and they are certainly not the only option. However we look to help players maximize their characters in SWGoH and we are always open to feedback if you have a mod setup that works well of your gameplay.

Best Mods for Cassian Andor - SWGoHToday’s character to review mods for will be Cassian Andor. A Rebel support who had one of the main roles in Rogue One, Cassian also has an early impact on the ships side of the game with his own U-Wing. However, the Rogue One faction died out after years of neglect only to be revived in 2022 by the addition of Admiral Raddus and a new Omicron Ability for Cassian. With Cassian now the star of his own Disney+ series, let’s take a look at what stats we want to enhance through the use of mods in SWGoH.

Main Focus: Speed. While Cassian is a Support character, he is bolstered by the strong lead of Admiral Raddus who grants +8 Speed for each Rogue One ally at the start of battle. Given the fact that Cassian only has a base Speed of 154, you’re going to have to do some work to get him significantly faster and +15 is low for a Speed set bonus, but his role as a Rebel Support character can be deceiving given the potential he has offensively. Keep him fast with strong Speed secondaries or a Speed set to ensure he can maximize his attack potential.

Additional Areas to Focus: Potency, Offense, Critical Chance, Critical Damage, Survivability in the form of Health. Potency is key for Cassian, as his basic and both special attacks benefit from Potency, so load up as much as you can on Cassian as he feels like a 100-120%+ Potency kind of character. Offense will help Cassian’s attacks, but note that he deals both Physical Damage with his basic and Special Damage with his second special attack, Crippling Shot. His basic is a light-hitter given his low Physical Damage stat, but his Special Damage is above average compared to the rest of the game’s characters. Critical Chance and Critical Damage can both get a boost but should be seen as lower-priority stats to emphasize, and survivability in the form of Health is your best route when looking at survivability. If used with Admiral Raddus as the leader, all Rogue One allies also gain 10% Health so this can be built upon with anyone used on this team. Note that Protection Up is based on Max Health, so this gives even more reason to enhance Health over Protection.

In-game Mod Recommendations: Offense & Potency. This feels outdated as most in-game mod recommendations are. I am going with a Speed set with massive Potency and as much Health as possible to maximize my Cassian who I run consistently with Admiral Raddus.

Ideal Mod Setup for SWGoH Cassian Andor

I am choosing to go with 3 sets of 6 Potency mods to gain as much as possible. Here is my recommended mod setup for Cassian Andor:

  • Transmitter (Square) – Speed mod with offense primary and a focus on speed, health, potency and critical chance
  • Receiver (Arrow) – Speed mod with speed primary and a focus on health, potency and critical chance
  • Processor (Diamond) – Health/Potency mod with defense primary and a focus on speed, health, potency and critical chance
  • Holo-Array (Triangle) – Health/Potency mod with critical damage primary and a focus on speed, health, potency and critical chance
  • Data-Bus (Circle) – Speed mod with health primary and a focus on speed, health, potency and critical chance
  • Multiplexer (Plus) – Speed mod with potency primary and a focus on speed, health, offense and critical chance
