TFEW: Best Power Cores for Rook & Blot

TFEW - Transformers Earth Wars

Welcome to the latest in our series of articles about the Transformers Earth Wars mobile game where we take a look at the best Power Cores for each TFEW bot. While our staff will never claim to have all of the answers for TFEW, we do our homework and test out each bot to ensure we are making only the best recommendations.

Protectobot Rook and his Decepticon equivalent Terrorcon Blot were added to the game in the June 2019 TFEW Alliance Leaderboard event. These Special Class bots bring a unique special ability to Transformers: Earth Wars. Explosive Decoy reads “Place a decoy that has 65% of your Health and attracts defences. When destroyed, it explodes dealing X damage in a large area. Only one decoy can be active at a time.” That damage starts at 89 (Blot) and 95 (Rook) and scales as the ability is upgraded and the bot levels up. But while this special ability shows a ton of promise, you want to maximize the effectiveness of Explosive Decoy using the best Power Cores for these bots. So which Power Cores are best to best enhance Rook and Blot?

Best Power Core for Rook & Blot:

Vitality Core – With the way the special ability for Rook & Blot works, your focus should be on a Power Core that enhances the bot’s survivability as this will also enhance the decoy created. As a result, the Vitality Core is the best choice for Rook & Blot to increase their Max Health. This core makes more sense than other survivability-focused cores like the Rejuvenate, because the Vitality Core adds to the bot’s Max Health while the Rejuvenate replenishes Health over time, thus not impacting the decoy. Since none of the Prime Cores impact the bot’s Max Health these do not appear to be better options, however the Solus and Alpha Trion Prime Cores are two that could be considered for Rook and Blot.

Other Cores: N/A – Vitality is your best option
