Generally, when advancing through a particular gaming release, many gamers relish the narrative climax that comes with boss battles. However, as seen in Marvel titles and some action-adventure favorites, certain boss encounters from over the years have been surprisingly easy to overcome.
A letdown many gamers struggle to forget, boss battles are meant to be challenging. They’re also supposed to leave gamers feeling frustrated and desperate to come back for more as they strive to come out on top. However, while many games boast complicated boss battles that are incredibly tough to navigate, we’ve also witnessed a large selection of straightforward boss clashes, many of which have failed to provide the adrenaline rush millions of gamers crave.
For gamers, these easy boss fights ruined some products. Of course, gamers like to test themselves, hence why they tuck into stimulating Pulsz slot games like Easter Island 2 and strategy-based releases like Distant Worlds 2. However, while some games promise to deliver more ruthless boss battles to experience, they actually turn out to be painfully easy to see off. Below we remember five of them.
Papu Papu – Crash Bandicoot
People everywhere have a strong affinity with the Crash Bandicoot games, and rightly so, too. Overall, they’re fantastic. However, facing off against Papu Papu ended up being a bit of an anticlimax, didn’t it? Once you get into a rhythm and jump on his head in time, while also stealing his seat to avoid being damaged, taking him down feels almost too easy. It was still fun, though.
Volvagia – The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time
A beloved series for so many, the various Zelda games have generally always delivered. One of them is most definitely The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time, although many endorsers of the series sometimes fail to mention just how easy it was to beat Volvagia. While it was an enjoyable boss battle to take on, it didn’t take too many attempts for many dedicated gamers. A mixture of attacks helped and using a bow and arrow made a big difference, but it still wasn’t the alarming obstacle many players potentially expected.
Lucien – Fable II
Nobody really likes Lucien when assessing some of Fable II’s biggest characters, but they still expected him to put up more of a fight in this unique RPG. Despite causing plenty of pain in the game, such as by killing Sparrow’s sister, it all seemed a bit too effortless when players finally got the chance to take Lucien down. By playing a music box, which then wiped out his shield, players were then in the driving seat in a boss fight that really isn’t too taxing.
Eveline – Resident Evil 7

Resident Evil 7 is an excellent release still, but the big battle with Eveline definitely disappointed many gamers who sampled the title. Compared to some of the other boss fights from the franchise, Eveline was a breeze to defeat. Sure, she looked scary, but that was pretty much it. For most gamers, winning against Eveline didn’t take too much time and effort.
Adam – NieR: Automata
Released in 2017, NieR: Automata is an action role-playing release with loads of fans behind it. Where many of them felt a bit let down by the game, though, was when they finally came to blows with Adam. While it still provided strong doses of entertainment, and it was highly satisfying triumphing over a character many players of the game despise, it wasn’t too tricky to navigate. All players had to do was use their pod, pull off a few combos, and that was pretty much it.
