Gaming-fans.com Notes – Transformers: Earth Wars is another game that I have played, I believe, since the first day it was available. As a huge fan of Transformers as a child in the 80s, bringing back many of the iconic Generation 1 Transformers is the draw for me. The goal of the game is to build your base and raid the bases of other players for resources, Energon being a main focus of course. Gamers will tell you that the idea is similar to the popular mobile game Clash of Clans. Our strongest area of coverage here at Gaming-fans.com is the Best Power Cores section where we detail the best Power Cores (enhancements) for each bot.
I have no relationship with Space Ape Games & Backflip Studios which continues to disappoint me. I have reached out to them on multiple occasions and received no response, so I guess it is what it is. The game, in my opinion, suffered from a major lack of content/urgency to play for years. The Friday through Sunday weekend events are the key to getting rewards needed to be successful and advance in the game, but the mid-week Raid Battles were joined by the Elimination Game Mode, and now the ability to use Titans in standard and War battles. Mid-week battles are now necessary as the Z-Energon is vital to endgame base upgrades. After a fantastic 200th weekend event we then saw the introduction of COMBAT Battle Masters in TFEW which added another way to upgrade and customize your roster. I find these updates to have addressed my biggest concerns and I am enjoying this game as much today as I have at any point in the past 4+ years.

The game’s early battles center around Campaigns which allow the new player to unlock a 2-star Optimus Prime or Megatron, depending on if you chose the Autobots or Decepticons as your preferred faction. Other campaigns help you progress through the game including the ability to add Combiners once all of the character requirements are met.
Characters are divided into 6 different classes in Transformers Earth Wars, and Power Cores can be applied to specific characters based on their class, while some are bot-specific.
Finally, TFEW features Alliances – teams of up to 40 players – which compete in weekend team and/or individual events. Alliance events run Friday at 6/7am ET through Monday at 6/7am ET and are highly competitive for end game players as they feature rewards of supplies and bots which are helpful throughout the game. The most competitive events in TFEW are the Alliance Leaderboard events which pit alliances against each other for prizes (new bots) with the top alliances getting to unlock the new bot in 3-star and 4-star versions.
