TFEW: Best Power Cores for Ratchet & Hook

TFEW - Transformers Earth Wars

Welcome to the latest in our series of articles about the Transformers Earth Wars mobile game where we take a look at the best Power Cores for each bot. While our staff will never claim to have all of the answers for TFEW, we do our homework and test out each bot to ensure we are making only the best recommendations.

Today’s bots to review Power Cores for are Ratchet & Hook. Ratchet & Hook are pure healing bots and often are the heart of many fielded squads. They have relatively low HPs and are vulnerable to targeted attacks by defensive cores such as Target Protocol for mortars.Their unique ability to heal your bots by giving them extra time to take out defenses and recover from damage as they approach defenses on your roll through a base is necessary at higher gameplay levels. Although they have the same healing rate as the medic counterparts, Wheeljack & Shockwave, the main difference is in their special abilities. Ratchet & Hook use Healing Grenades to help heal bots (including themselves) in a small radius, which is very helpful as your medics start to get overworked or heavily damaged! How do power cores help your bots? Let’s check it out!

Best Power Core for Ratchet & Hook:

Ray Boosters (Hook) / G1 Ratchet – The Ray Booster and G1 Cores really help Ratchet & Hook do their jobs a lot better! An increase in healing power is a small but appreciable boost for your bots. One side note is that this core does NOT change the effectiveness of the Healing Grenade. The G1 Ratchet core also gives him a 25% movement speed bonus, which helps when sometimes he decides to run across the map between bots. There is no difference in healing ability between the two cores, so don’t worry ‘cons! You’re just missing out on a little speed until Hook’s core comes out.
