SWGoH: New Light Side Geonosis Territory Battle set to return on December 16th

SWGoH

The new Light Side Territory Battles entitled Geonosis: Republic Offensive is set to make its return in Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes on December 16th. This information was shared earlier today by the developers along with some minor changes to the monthly events calendar. Of course the event was supposed to start on November 18th and was pushed back, a move that I applaud Capital Games for, showing that they had learned from past mistakes. However the December 2nd launch of Geonosis: Republic Offensive barely reached Phase 2 before the devs had to pull the plug due to technical issues. While it did not factor in the cancellation of the event, Phase 1 was so incredibly difficult that it showed the community how out of touch the studio truly is with the player base. Capital Games’ is still unable to realize that their “new” game mode (actually a reskinned game mode) is so difficult that it completely devalues almost every penny players had invested into the game since SWGoH added Relics in September 2019, thus showing their whales that their money means nothing. While having the pulse of the community is something that has been a struggle for CG over the years, that seems to have really snowballed since the end of 2018.

So the big questions now are will Geonosis: Republic Offensive work as intended this time? Will the difficulty continue to make this reskinned content unplayable, or will new teams emerge to see success in the new Territory Battle? Hit us up at @GamingFansDFN on Twitter with your thoughts as we sit back and wait to see what will happen next in SWGoH.
