Welcome to the Iso-8 guide for Captain America (Sam), the latest in our series about the popular game Marvel Strike Force. In this series we look at the best Iso-8 enhancements for MSF characters. While some may refer to Iso-8 as simply “mods” like in other mobile games, we will look to stay true to the naming convention of the Marvel universe and the developers over at Scopely. We at Gaming-fans.com certainly do not claim to have all of the answers in this game, but we do our research and look to use every hero and villain we write about extensively. These are Iso-8 recommendations based on the character’s kit and actual gameplay to help you in your quest to dominate in Marvel Strike Force. Note that these Iso-8 classes may differ from one team makeup to another, so feel free use this as a guide knowing that these can change in differing situations within MSF’s gameplay.
Today’s character to review is Captain America (Sam). Added to Marvel Strike Force in mid-2021, Captain America (Sam) is part of a currently incomplete Secret Avengers team along with Sharon Carter and Maria Hill, and all three of these characters are needed in the Legendary event to unlock Omega Red. In MSF Captain America (Sam) is a Hero, Global, Skill, Protector, Honorable character who is a member of the Secret Avenger faction. Let’s take a look at the stats we want to focus on enhancing through Iso-8 modifications in Marvel Strike Force.
Main Focus: Captain America (Sam) is a Protector and is designed to protect and support his teammates by dispelling enemy buffs, filling allies’ Speed Bars and granting Ability Enegery when he taunts, just like the OG Captain America. Because he is a Protector who taunts, keeping Sam alive is critical to allow him to continue to help and protect his allies, so added Health, Armor and Resistance are the main areas to look to enhance initially.
Ideal Iso-8 Class for Captain America (Sam) in Marvel Strike Force:
While Captain America (Sam) is a Protector, he is faster than Sharon Carter and Maria Hill on the Secret Avenger team. As a result, the popular class to put him in is as a Skirmisher to setup the battle with the Iso-8 debuff “Vulnerable.” While a case could be made for the Fortifier or Healer classes, my own use of Captain America (Sam) in the Doom Raid and throughout the game supports that he is quite effective as a Skirmisher.
