The newest Territory Battles are here as the Rise of the Empire Territory Battle was launched in December 2022. Unlike previous Territory Battles in SWGoH, the Rise of the Empire TB features Light Side, Dark Side and Neutral paths and Platoons are now called Operations.

The Rise of the Empire Territory Battle features six Phases which last 24 hours each. Each of the six Phases of the event has a Special Mission rewarding Mk III Guild Event Tokens in Phases 1, 4, 5 and 6 and Reva (Third Sister) shards in Phase 3.

The following is a Walkthrough of my experiences in Phase 2 that will be updated over time. Specifically, this covers the dumbest requirements in the game – five Relic 7 Geonosians for a Phase 2 battle. While all other characters in Phase 2 are required to be Relic 6 and the progression system in this Territory Battle are clear, this mission is the one outlier. This Combat Mission is in the middle of the Dark Side that requires Geonosian characters at Relic 7 or higher.

Phase 2 Combat Mission Battle Notes w/Geonosians:

03.23.23 – To start, all characters have 6-dot mods to ensure better stats. I am interested in seeing if this is one of those battles where getting the minimum requirements is enough, or if there is significant challenge involved.

This battle is against a group of Partisan Fighters and Rebel Spies who weaken my group fast. I survive the first wave and get some attacks in, taking out the Partisan in the front. Looking at how the battle plays out, a Relic 6 requirement and Relic 7 recommendation certainly would have made more sense, and these enemies are tough. I survive the first two rounds of hits but keep losing my Geo Brute, leaving my team exposed. As I work my way through the enemies, taking them out one by one, I call the Brute to rejoin just as I get it down to two enemies, leaving a Rebel Spy for last and moving on.

The second and final wave of this Combat Mission sees me going in at about 85% strength in health and protection, and after the enemies take the first 6 turns I have once again lost my Geo Brute. Facing a Partisan Fighter, Rex, Chopper, Ezra Bridger and Kanan Jarrus, I work my way around the taunts and go all-in on Rex, killing him first. I hang on, barely, to take out Ezra and then focus on the Partisan Fighter in an effort to remove all of their offense and leave the tanks. This works and it is just Chopper and Kanan against my 5 Geonosians, but both are hard to kill. I focus on Kanan and getting debuffs on him to set up Geo Spy’s big hit, and this fails the first time around and works with three debuffs and a stealth Geo Spy the second time I try it. I put it on auto, wait for 2 minutes, then go back to playing when Geo Spy’s big hit is up again and I finish off Chopper for the 250k Territory Points.
