MSF: Dark Dimension VI – Shifting Darkness – Mission #9 Walkthrough & Live Blog

MSF - Dark Dimension 6

The 9th mission of the Dark Dimension VI – Shifting Darkness has 30 enemies and 122 million health to work through. Like before, we now have specific groups to use, with Missions 9, 10 & 11 requiring City characters. My team available to start is Spider-Man (Big Time), Firestar, Scarlet Spider, Shang-Chi and She-Hulk as I continue the Gaming-fans.com Dark Dimension 6 Live Blogs & Walkthroughs. I will likely tough it out and use this group of five for all of the City battles and save the gear for the future Legendary characters needed.

I start off the 9th mission with my team of Spider-Man (Big Time), Firestar, Scarlet Spider, Shang-Chi and She-Hulk for a total of 1,696,738 power as I face 30 enemies with a total of 122m health. Scarlet Spider, Shang-Chi and She-Hulk are at 7-red stars with Firestar at 6-stars, 6-red stars and Spider-Man (Big Time) at 5-stars, 3-red stars and all at least Iso-8, Level 2, Tier 3.

To the battle, 9 of the 30 enemies are on-screen and my target will be Rescue given her ability to add Barrier and cleanse. Spider-Man (Big Time) gets the first hit, using his middle attack, followed by Firestar as I try to balance the enemy buffs with applied debuffs. A Shang-Chi AoE gets Black Widow to near 50% health, but the enemies kill off Scarlet Spider fast but when SMBT goes a second time he uses the 3rd ability to dispel a Hulk taunt and weaken the enemies on the left side, Black Widow and Rescue included. Shang-Chi’s special gets BW to red and Rescue to yellow health as I get a kill of BW with SMBT’s basic. I lose all but Firestar and SMBT and end with a basic on a Hulk on the left as I save a special for tomorrow and the enemies finish me off. In the end 29 enemies and 113m health remains.

Some massive upgrades to my team as I head into my second battle. First, Firestar is now 7-stars and 7-red stars thanks to 50 shards for $4.99 in the Web Store. With my War Credits low consistently, this also takes pressure off of this currency so I chalk it up to money well spent. Secondly, the Elite Store came up with Spider-Man (Big Time) red star promotions twice, so he is now 5-stars and 5-red stars. I have also upgrades the Iso-8 for multiple characters so that for today’s battle, I enter at 1,855,995 power, more than 150k stronger than yesterday. Of the 29 enemies to kill, 8 are on-screen with Rescure in yellow health and all others at 75% health or higher. I am able to kill Rescue quickly and then Stun the Hulk on the left side with the most speed bar, using She-Hulk’s 3rd ability. Yelena Belva taunts and receives basics from Firestar and SMBT to drop her to red health, then a Shang-Chi AoE kills her off as 27 enemies remain. The enemies get my team’s health down considerably, before SMBT gets Sharon Carter into the red, before a special from Firestar finishes her off. Now 5 enemies remain on-screen and I get stuck behind a Hulk taunt. Two attacks from my team result in retaliatory hits on She-hulk, killing her and leaving me with four as SMBT kills Hawkeye. Abomination kills my Shang-Chi, as I try to land some hits on Hulk with Defense Down, but the enemies are too strong and finish my final three off. In the end, 25 enemies and 99.8m health remains.

My 3rd battle looks to build off of the previous success as I start with the same stats as yesterday opposite 4 on-screen enemies, 25 overall. SMBT Disrupts one Hulk as I then focus in on the other Hulk as he is in red health, and Scarlet Spider finally finishes him off, and at 24 enemies left reinforcements arrive. Now 9 enemies remain and I use a Firestar ultimate to massively debuff the enemies as I keep hitting a taunting Ms. Marvel. Rescue adds Barrier and I take some hits before killing MM. Firestar lands several debuffs, but I lose She-Hulk and Firestar soon after and Rescue cleanses which leaves me to use basics to finish things up with 23 enemies left and 88.5m health to go.

I check in at 1,865,715 power for my 4th battle after an upgrade of SMBT’s basic ability and go to work against 5 on-screen enemies with 20 left overall. Two Hulks, an Abomination, Brawn and Hawkeye are my on-screen enemies and I go right after the Hulk in the front in red health. I finish him off in four hits and take the enemy attacks, then Stun Hawkeye just before his attack. The final Hulk taunts and SMBT uses his 3rd ability to debuff the right side enemies and Firestar kills Hulk and Hawkeye with her 3rd ability. Now just 17 enemies remain, and Brawn and Abomination are on-screen, so I go after the healers, looking to refresh my cooldowns as much as possible while taking as little damage from Abom as possible. This works better than expected, and when they are both dead, 9 enemies arrive to reinforce. I go right after Maria Hill in this group and get her to yellow health before the two Shield Security enemies taunt. I get some really good damage from my attacks, but when the enemies get going on offense it derails my team as I lose Scarlet Spider and She-Hulk first as they tear through my heroes. SMBT gets two basics at the end and uses them very well, killing both Maria Hill and a Shield Security before falling, leaving 13 enemies and 36.6m health after my best run of this mission to date.

Battle #5 starts with a basic from SMBT on Black Widow, and the repetitive parts of this attack kill her, leaving 6 on-screen and 12 overall, but then Human Torch unleashes an ultimate on my team. I recover to use Firestar’s middle ability on the 5 enemies in the middle to debuff them and then Shang-Chi’s ultimate does nice damage with all of them having Defense Down. Scarlet Spider attacks with his middle, and the adjacent Hawkeye is down as 11 enemies remain, then She-Hulk and SMBT gang up on Shield Security and kill him prompting reinforcements to arrive now that 10 enemies remain. With all 10 enemies on-screen, Shang-Chi uses his middle on the taunting Red Guardian and then Firestar’s ultimate kills a The Thing enemy near RG as 9 remain. RG continues to eat hits as I take damage, and when Kang and Rescue take their turns my chances for success today dwindle. I survive to get to a SMBT ultimate, which I use targeting Sharon Carter, but I cannot kill her and only get her to lose red health before an ultimate from Kang kills my team off. In the end, 9 enemies and 22.6m health remains as I expect 2-3 more battles will get me through this one depending on the success of tomorrow’s battle.

My 6th battle sees me land a couple of hits on a taunting Red Guardian before the enemies buff up, but a Shang-Chi AoE ultimate kills Sharon Carter and I then kill off The Thing just after Kang debuffs my squad. Now 7 enemies remain and I lose She-Hulk, but SMBT kills Hawkeye with a basic and Iso-8 follow-up attack. It is clear at this point that the enemies are too strong and I cannot do anything more than make a dent in their health, falling with 6 enemies and 19.4m health to go.

Battle #7 has me again behind a RG taunt, but I am able to get around hum and take out Black Widow as 5 enemies remain. I start putting hits on Rescue and SMBT ends up finishing her off. Firestar slows 3 of the 4 remaining enemies, and I survive a Kang ultimate, and I Stun Kang and kill off Human Torch. With a 5 v 3 in my favor, I keep hitting the stunned Kang and finally finish him off and then RG as well. At this point it unravels for the bad guys and I kill off Abomination for the win and the 200 T4 Ability Materials and 1.25m Gold.
