Welcome to the best mods for Kelleran Beq, the latest article in our series about the popular game Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes where we take a look at the top mods for SWGoH characters. While I do not claim to have all of the answers in this game, I do my research and have used every character I write about extensively. These are mod recommendations based on the character’s kit and actual gameplay to help you in your quest to dominate the Galaxy of Heroes holotables.

Today’s character to review mods for will be the newest addition in SWGoH, Kelleran Beq. Added in December 2023 as part of the content expansion around The Mandalorian, Season 3, Kelleran Beq follows his role in canon Star Wars – as a Protector in SWGoH. In-game, Kelleran Beq is a Light Side Attacker who is also a member of the Galactic Republic and Jedi factions. Let’s take a look at which mods will best enhance his kit for SWGoH success.

Main Focus: Speed. Kelleran Beq is an Attacker, and  he is not your standard Attacker in SWGoH. His stacks of Padawan Lessons is based on his Protection, and for each stack he gains +5% Offense and +20 Defense Penetration. His base Speed is rather slow for a Speed set, but his Leader ability does grant +30 Speed, a stat that is factored in after mods, not before. I still lean towards a Speed set after seeing what the developers recommend. They designed the character, and nothing I see/read tells me differently.

Additional Areas to Focus: Survivability in the forms of Health and Protection as well as Offense, Critical Chance and potentially Critical Damage. Protection is just as important as Speed, arguably more important, given how the Padawan Lessons stack up. While Health mods are the plan, using Protection primary stats on the circle, triangle and plus/cross mod is the recommendation here. A Protection primary could also be an option on the arrow mod if you have a +20 or higher speed secondary, but otherwise I would stick to a Speed focus there with a Protection % gain. Plus the Max Health stat adds to his Protection from his The Sabered Hand unique. While his Max Physical Damage is nothing that jumps off the page, factoring in the stacks of Padawan Lessons really, really enhances this. When factoring in Critical Chance and Critical Damage, at Relic 7 Beq has 83.88% CC, up from around 50% CC at Gear 13. It is also worth noting that is you are using Kelleran Beq regularly as a Leader, the enhancement of Defense and Tenacity stats will also be bolstered even more from mods.

In-game Mod Recommendations: Speed & Health. Makes sense, but a very fast Offense set with a Health set could also be an option to consider.

Ideal Mod Setup for SWGoH Kelleran Beq:

The “ideal mod setup” can be interpreted a few different ways as our analysis of each character is based on their kit and can be a bit subjective as well. If you target Speed & Protection stats through the mods with some decent Offense boosts, you should be able to maximize Kelleran Beq’s kit nicely. Here are my recommendations for the best mods for Jedi Protector Kelleran Beq:

• Transmitter (Square) – Speed mod with offense primary and a secondary focus on speed, protection, offense and health
• Receiver (Arrow) – Health mod with speed primary and a secondary focus on protection, health and offense/critical chance OR a protection primary with a secondary focus on speed, protection, health and offense/critical chance
• Processor (Diamond) – Speed mod with defense primary and a secondary focus on speed, protection, health and offense/critical chance
• Holo-Array (Triangle) – Speed mod with protection primary and a secondary focus on speed, protection, health and offense/critical chance
• Data-Bus (Circle) – Speed mod with protection primary and a secondary focus on speed, protection, health and offense/critical chance
• Multiplexer (Plus) – Health mod with protection primary and a secondary focus on speed, protection, health and offense/critical chance
