All the largest projects, such as the construction of entire cities and regions, major attractions, and so on, are often created on their own servers, because otherwise the monsters around will interfere with you, like other players, but if you set up and control the process yourself, then you are much easier to adjust the environment to your needs and requirements, including simply removing all sources of destruction.

Strategies

If you want to play a city-planning or military strategy with your friends, you need a host who will create a game map using the resources of your PC and the Internet to support other players and their stable online.

This is especially necessary in older projects that do not have a stable built-in multiplayer, but with the help of a host you can change the situation and fully play Age of Empires, Rise of Nations, Cossacks, Heroes of Might and Magic, and other major projects.
