Welcome to the best mods for the Speeder Bike Pursuit Raid, the latest article in our series about the popular game Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes where we typically take a look at the top mods for SWGoH characters. However, the introduction of the Speeder Bike Pursuit Raid has changed the way we look at Raids in Galaxy of Heroes, and while I will leave opinions out of this, here at Gaming-fans.com we simply look to help fans better understand the game. As I have often said, while I do not claim to have all of the answers in this game, I do my research and have used every character and game mode I write about extensively. These are mod recommendations based on the this specific game mode and actual gameplay to help you in your quest to dominate the Galaxy of Heroes holotables.
In the Speeder Bike Pursuit Raid you have three major factions represented – the Rebels, Imperial Troopers and the Ewoks – all from Return of the Jedi. Each has special abilities granted for the Raid, just like the Krayt Dragon Raid had special abilities for the Tuskens, Mandalorians, Hutt Cartel, etc. Below we profile each faction and highlight specific characters within each faction to discuss how to best use your mods to boost your team and achieve higher scores.
Note that this will be updated from time to time as needed to stay current with the play of the Speeder Bike Pursuit Raid.
Rebels
When Rebel characters use “a Basic ability, they repair stacks of Damage on all allies. Rebel characters gain a stack of Shield for every stack of Repair above max on self.” With Rebels benefitting more from Health and Protection stats, looking at using Health mods to boost your characters’ stacks of Shield seems wise. Both the Health and Protection stats grant additional stacks of Shield in the Speeder Bike Pursuit Raid for every 10k Health or Protection your character has.
Note that while I have tried boosting a few of my Rebels with other characters’ mod sets for added Health & Protection, I have seen little to no effect in the Raid battles at all.
Imperial Troopers
The Imperial Troopers all start “the battle with stacks of Jam. When this character uses a Basic ability, they remove bonus stacks of Damage from target enemy equal to the number of stacks of Evade on all allies. Then, this character loses all stacks of evade.” From this we will look to the Details > Final Phase section of the Speeder Bike Pursuit Raid to learn how to gain more stake of Evasion, and there we find that increasing our characters’ Physical Evasion and Tenacity will greatly impact this stat. More details to come.
As for the Scout Trooper’s Omicron ability, I test the Scout Trooper in several battles to see if there was a significant difference with and without the Omicron equipped. Testing at the 1.2 million max level (Difficulty Level 4), I used Iden Versio, Stormtrooper and Scout Trooper in several battles and scored within 100k on both Auto and Manual with and without mod changes. The Omicron added about 50-80k to the battles. Fighting with the same team at Difficulty Level 5, where 1.8m is the max, I was able to score 1.1 million with the Omicron on Scout Trooper. As more team comps become public I expect we will see this improve even more.
Ewoks
When Ewoks us “a Basic ability, they remove bonus stacks of Timber from target enemy equal to the number of stacks of Jam on all allies. Whenever an enemy is defeated with Timber, all Ewok allies gain stacks of Jam.” As we read from this, Ewoks work well with Timber because it helps them better-utilize the stacks of Jam. In the “Final Phase” breakdown of statistics for the Speeder Bike Pursuit Raid, we learn that we can remove additional stacks of Timber from enemies with ur abilities if our characters have higher Physical Critical Avoidance. You can read the specifics for yourself in the Details > Final Phase section of the Speeder Bike Pursuit Raid if you like, but in a nutshell, a +35% Crit Avoidance arrow alone would “Remove 2 additional stacks of Timber,” thus helping any member of the Ewok faction out.
Additional gains based on stats are also listed in this section of the Raid’s details and can be used to benefit specific characters. Notable stat gains could come from Princess Kneesaa and Wicket who both are best-used with Critical Chance and Critical Damage mods. A higher Critical Chance stat can “reduce a random ally’s cooldowns by 1 at the start of turn,” and a higher Critical Damage stats will “gain Turn Meter when this character’s cooldowns are reduced,” pairing these bonuses nicely. In addition, having a higher Attack Damage stat will “remove additional stacks of Damage for each stack of Damage removed with an ability.”
