MSF: Dark Dimension VI – Shifting Darkness – Mission #7 Walkthrough & Live Blog

MSF - Dark Dimension 6

The 7th mission of the Dark Dimension VI – Shifting Darkness has 34 enemies and 224 million health to work through. Like before, we now have specific groups to use, with Missions 6, 7 & 8 requiring Cosmic characters. My team available to start is Kang the Conqueror, Kestrel, Dormammu, Ravager Stitcher & Nebula as I continue the Gaming-fans.com Dark Dimension 6 Live Blogs & Walkthroughs. Ikaris and Sersi are both Gear 17 with both needing 4 pieces to join this group.

I start off the 7th mission with my team of Kang the Conqueror (Raider), Kestrel (Raider), Dormammu (Striker), Ravager Stitcher (Healer) & Nebula (Skirmisher) for a total of 2,002,867 power as I face 34 enemies with a total of 224m health. All of my characters are at 7-red stars and at least Iso-8, Level 2, Tier 4 but Kang and Kestrel are both 1-diamond.

To the battle, I hit Viv Vision first as she is in the middle of the 8 on-screen enemies. After a nice start, VV cleanses and Hulkbuster adds Barrier to mess things up, and after Kestrel’s middle ability weakens them a bit, I lose Ravager Stitcher. After a Dormammu ultimate debuffs all enemies I am low on health for Kestrel and Kang’s ultimate is up. He puts three enemies in yellow and I take a couple of hits and he gets to go again with a basic, this time killing Ant-Man. I lose Kang to enemy attacks and the enemies add Barrier again as Dormammu uses a basic to AoE the enemies. Kestrel kills Black Widow as 32 enemies remain and the enemies kill off Kestrel leaving me with red health Dormammu and Nebula alike. Dormammu hits Wasp and gets her to a hit away from dead and the enemies finish me off with 32 enemies left and 205m health to go.

After killing 2 and knocking 19m health off in my first battle, I come in encouraged and ready to go. My initial turn kills Wasp as 31 enemies remain and reinforcements arrive. Kang hits them all with his passive AoE and uses his special on Viv Vision and Kestrel knocks her below 50% health with a basic. Both Ms. Marvel and Captain America (Sam) taunt as Dormammu and Kang soften up the middle of the 9 on-screen enemies and dispel MM’s taunt. From here the Hulkbusters screw things up, adding Barrier after VV cleanses and killing my team as the battle ends with 30 enemies and 192m health remain. If I do not take care of VV and the Hulkbusters soon, this will be a long, long battle…

Battle #3 is here and 9 enemies on-screen are highlighted by Viv Vision and Sharon Carter in yellow health. I go right at VV with Nebula, Kestrel and Kang and Dormammu is able to finish her off. After one time through trying a different approach, I now decide to hit Yellowjacket (with Defense Down and yellow health) with a Ravager Stitcher basic and the Kestrel follow-up kills him to bring the enemy tally to 28. From here, everything falls apart as both Hulkbusters taunt and add Barrier to their allies, and my characters fall one by one. I get a single attack in before the end, a basic from Dormammu to save the ultimate for tomorrow, and it ends with 28 enemies left, 7 on-screen and 179m health to go.

My 4th battle sees my team a bit stronger as Kang the Conqueror is now at 2-diamonds, bringing my team power to 2,024,041. I considered Ravager Stitcher at 1-diamond and instead used my resources on Kang, knowing how much I use him and the Masters of Evil team in MSF. 8 enemies are on-screen and 2 are in yellow health, Sharon Carter and Ms. Marvel, but I have to get these Hulkbuster enemies removed for future success. Nebula’s 3rd ability targets the one in the middle of the enemy cluster and then Kang is up with his AoE ultimate. This gets Sharon to red health, Ant-Man to yellow, causes MM to taunt and debuffs all enemies. Kestrel’s middle ability follows, targeting MM, and now both Hulkbusters taunt. Dormammu is up with a special targeting the middle Hulkbuster and MM dies from the attack. Ravager Stitcher uses a basic and Kestrel’s passive kills Sharon as 26 enemies remain, but the enemies attack and pile all attacks on Kang. This kills Kang, he revives from Dormammu and then gets killed for good. Keeping with the plan, I get the Hulkbuster in the middle to yellow health and Dormammu uses an ultimate which kills Ant-Man and another, and then prompts reinforcements to arrive. Now 24 enemies remain with 7 on-screen as I keep hitting the weaker Hulkbuster in the middle until he dies. Just after defeating him the other Hulkbuster adds Barrier to all enemies, exactly why I wanted them gone, and I target him until Captain Sam is in low red health next to him. With Hulkbuster in yellow health I finish off Captain Sam and even more enemies arrive to make this a real pain. I take several hits and I am hanging on by a thread here as 9 enemies are on-screen and Hulkbuster heals back up. With Barrier on all enemies this battle just unravels and in the end 23 enemies and 142m health remains.

Battle #5 will be played with a stronger Dormammu as I was able to save up my Dark Promotion credits and get him to 6 red stars, bringing my team power to 2,045,553. 22 enemies remain as 9 of them meet me to do battle and I start on the far left side in the corner with Hulkbuster, the one I let off the hook yesterday. I land a couple of hits and have Kestrel dispel his Defense Up before Dormammu uses his special. Ravager Stitcher is killed and revived, then heals to get Hulkbuster into yellow health, but then a barrage of enemy attacks kills RS and has Dormy in red health. Kang starts a chain of hits on Hulkbuster and I am able to finish him off leaving 21 enemies. Kestrel’s special (middle ability is up and I use it in the middle of a group of enemies as I now look to get to Maria Hill and Viv Vision, but the attack’s effects are lost after the enemies string together a series of attacks, with Marial Hill dispelling and healing her crew to screw me up. In the end 21 enemies and 132m health remains.

Ready to do battle for the 6th time and Maria Hill and Viv Vision in the front are going to be my targets. Starting on Maria, I get a few hits in and add Trauma from Dormammu, then take several enemy hits but my 5 remain alive. Taunts from Stature and Captain Sam mess up my plans a bit, and after getting to red health Maria heals up, but the long list of debuffs on my enemies allows Dormammu’s ultimate to hit harder and Kestrel eventually kills Wasp. I get Maria to red again and Kang is up with his ultimate as all 5 on my characters remain alive. This kill Maria and one more as 18 enemies remain and reinforcements arrive as 9 enemies are on-screen now. Staying focused on the weaker enemies, I target Deathlike since VV is behind stealth, and Dormammu kills Yellowjacket with his basic. With VV available to hit again, Kang hits her with a special and kills her with his follow-up hit as 15 enemies remain. Kestrel uses a special to weaken a section of 3 enemies on the left, then a Kestrel follow-up kills Black Widow and a Kang passive AoE kills Captain Sam as 13 enemies remain. Ms. Marvel joins the battle as 5 enemies are on-screen, and Kang hits Yellowjacket and his follow-up kills Vision. With 12 enemies left, after my attack on a taunting Stature, more reinforcements arrive as 8 enemies are now on-screen. Kestrel removes MM’s taunt and a heal from Ravager Stitcher gets YJ to red health. Wasp’s AoE finally kills one of my characters as Ravager Stitcher is down, and while a Dormammu basic gets Stature to red health, this is where things fall apart. I lose my characters one-by-one, with only Dormy left at the end and do not get another attacks in as 12 enemies and 52.1m health remains.

Battle #7 and I kill off Stature n the first hit as 11 enemies remain. I then shot my focus to Maria Hill, a recent reinforcement who has full health on the left side of the enemy group. I land a bunch of debuffs, lose Nebula, and Hulkbuster adds Barrier. Kang removes it but I am stuck behind a taunt from Hulkbuster. A Dormammu ultimate allows Kestrel’s follow-up hit to kill Yellowjacket and Maria Hill and Vision are both red health but I am now stuck behind a Ms. Marvel taunt. Kestrel does it again, killing Maria Hill as Captain Sam arrives to replace her. 9 enemies remain and they are all on-screen now as Kang’s ultimate kills Vision and one more who I missed while typing. Now 7 enemies remain and Kestrel’s special knocks out two of them. A Dormammu basic allows a charged Kestrel to kill Wasp and from here the wheels have fallen off for the enemies. Kang kills Hulkbuster and MM and I use all basics to finish it out with Captain Sam being the last enemy to go. In the end 2k Mega Orb Fragments, 1.25m gold and 50 Augmented Sigil (teal) pieces are my reward.
