The latest addition to our SWGoH Should I Buy series is the Should I Buy the Empire Faction Pack? Added this week, the Empire Faction Packs cost 699 crystals and “each pack awards one card of character shards worth between 10 to 330 Character Shards for Empire characters.” Possible characters include Death Trooper, Director Krennic, Gar Saxon, General Veers, Grand Moff Tarkin, Imperial Super Commando, Magmatrooper, Royal Guard, Shoretrooper, Snowtrooper, Stormtrooper and TIE Fighter Pilot. It maxes out at 10 total purchases, so since Hagar requested that I put my crystals to the test, I decided to spend them and give you all the data.
From the 10 Empire Faction Packs that I purchased, I received:
- 10 Death Trooper shards
- 12 TIE Fighter Pilot shards
- 10 Grand Moff Tarkin shards
- 12 Gar Saxon shards
- 20 Snowtrooper shards
- 12 Imperial Super Commando shards
- 15 Gar Saxon shards
- 15 Snowtrooper shards
- 10 TIE Fighter Pilot shards
- 10 Imperial Super Commando shards
So as you can see, one pull of 20 shards and two pulls of 15 shards were the high end and seven pulls of 10 or 12 made up the majority. Simple percentages for you visual learners out there:
10% – 20 shards
20% – 15 shards
30% – 12 shards
40% – 10 shards
Final Thoughts: If you feel that your Empire squad is weak, as I do, and you have the ability to put 699 crystals into this pack with the probability of getting 10 shards of a character, then go for it. However, if you are hoping to strike the lottery don’t bother. The numbers do not lie.
Thanks for sharing you data! I’ve collected data from various forums of people who bought faction packs (93 packs, Empire or Phoenix) to get better stats, and made a graph: http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2017/38/4/1506024409-stats-packs-faction.png
Of course it’s not perfect, but it gives a rough idea! Feel free to share 🙂
