Unite The Kingdoms

The Unite The Kingdoms Legendary event in Marvel Strike Force took place for the first time in January 2020 that requires 5 Asgardian characters to unlock Black Bolt, who opens at 5-stars (310 shards). You must beat all lower tiers before advancing to the next tier level. Legendary Character Events typically occur every 2-3 months and take place for 7 days initially and 3 days when they return.

MSF - Unite The Kingdoms - Black BoltOpening Legendary characters is always important for competitive players and fans alike in Marvel Strike Force, and Black Bolt looks to be fantastic addition to any roster. Below I will chronicle what it takes for me to advance forward and eventually open Black Bolt knowing that I will have to wait until the second time around to unlock the Inhuman Hero. Note that this is an ongoing battle over many months, so it will be updated whenever the Unite The Kingdoms event returns to allow me to upgrade the stars on Black Bolt.

The Battles:

01.06.20:

Tier 1 – Using Ms. Marvel, Black Bolt, Quake and Yo-Yo, this battle is about getting to see Yo-Yo and Black Bolt’s abilities and is not a challenge. 15 Black Bolt shards are your reward.

Tier 2 – Now using my Asgardians along with an assist from Black Bolt himself, you battle weak Guardians along with Minn-erva and Thanos. 30 Black Bolt shards & 750 Mega Orb Fragments are your reward.

Tier 3 – Again using Asgardians, the Kree are your enemies and I found them to be easier to defeat that anyone prior. 55 Black Bolt shards & 1,250 Mega Orb Fragments are your reward.

Tier 4 – This battle will have to happen the next time around for this event as Hela and Sif are not starred up enough.

The second Unite The Kingdoms event began on April 27, 2020 and I have been able to strengthen my team a bit.

The Battles:

04.28.20:

Tier 4 – I go into battle with 292k power of Asgardian might. Black Widow and Black Bolt join my Asgardians fighting 15 enemies, beginning with HAND characters and Deadpool. Keeping Black Widow alive is the key. At the levels my Asgardians are at this battle is a cake walk. The reward is 2k Mega Orb Fragments, 100k gold and 80 shards of Black Bolt.

Tier 5 – I again go into battle with 292k power for my Asgardian five. This battle has 14 enemies, beginning with a Mystic collection consisting of Elsa Bloodstone, Mordo, Scarlet Witch, M’Baku and HAND Sorceress to start. HAND Sentry, Doctor Strange, another Elsa and Mordo, Loki, and multiple Ghost Riders are used as reinforcements, but like above, this battle is not even competitive at the levels I have my Asgardians. The reward is 250k gold and 130 shards of Black Bolt.

The third Unite The Kingdoms event began on August 10, 2020 and I have been able to strengthen my team a bit more.

  • Sif – 6 stars, 4 red stars, 94/300 – Level 71, Gear 12 +5 pieces, 60,353 power, Abilities 6-6-6-4

The Battles:

08.11.20:

Tier 6 – I enter this battle with 326k power for my Asgardian five facing 18 enemies with 6 SHIELD enemies to start. Once I get to 13 enemies remaining, Ultron and his minions join the party, then at 7 enemies left more reinforcements arrive. At the level of my characters above this is a no-contest battle. Given the value of the Asgardians in Marvel Strike Force at the time of writing this, it seems wise to invest resources heavily into this faction. The reward is 500k gold and 200 shards of Black Bolt.

The fourth Unite The Kingdoms event began on November 30, 2020 and will be the last of this event that I report on. Of course, I have been able to strengthen my team a bit more, and I fully expect top clear Tier 7 today.

The Battles:

11.30.20:

Tier 7 – I enter this battle with 390k power for my Asgardian five facing 13 enemies and 5 enemies to start. I focus first on eliminating Minn-erva, and do so with relative ease. I take out the enemy Loki and Doctor Strange next, then Thanos and Hela join the enemy team to fight me. I kill off Hela quickly and start putting the enemies away until the final wave of reinforcements arrives with another Doctor Strange and Ghost Rider as well as Captain Marvel. Thanos taunts and just when it looks like this may be a bit of a challenge, Thor goes all crazy on the enemies and then uses his ultimate to end the battle. My reward is 300 shards of Black Bolt and 1m gold.
