The rest of July looks like it will be pretty busy with the return of the Omega and Assault battles in addition to the Emperor’s Demise event. We’re also going to see some new Flash Events and two new Marquee Events have been teased by the developers.
New Ewok Marquee Events
Two Ewok Marquee Events have been announced, though their dates remained to be determined: Endor Escalation I & II.
Speculation ahead! Like past Marquee Events including Code Name: Fulcrum and Lord of Hunger, the Ewok Marquee Events will not likely have any specific faction requirements. Pull together the strongest squad possible and prepare to test out the newest character(s).
Flash Events
Ewok Flash Events are coming in preparation for the new Ewok faction, with Flash Events throughout the day on 7/22, 7/25, and 7/28. As we’ve seen with Luke and the Phoenix Squad’s Flash Events, expect a requirement of at least 4* Ewok toons to play through the tiers and 5* Ewok toons to play any bonus tiers available.
Emperor’s Demise Return
Get your Rebel squads ready! The Emperor’s Demise event returns from 7/13 – 7/19. This bi-monthly legendary event is the only place to get Emperor Palpatine shards and requires five Rebel toons at 7* to get Emperor Palpatine to 7*. Rebel toons are plentiful in the game, but your best bet to easily defeat the emperor would be to run Wedge Antilles-Lead, Biggs Darklighter, Lando Calrissian, Stormtrooper Han, and either Admiral Ackbar or Princess Leia. All toons should be 7* and G7+ for best results.
Ewok-Themed Assault Battles
Gear up your favorite furry friends as well as your Empire and Droid teams for the return of the Assault Battles. The Assault Battles: Forest Moon event (requiring Empire and Droids) is returning on 7/15, 7/20, and 7/26 and the Assault Battles: Ground War (requiring Ewoks and Resistance) returns on 7/29.
Forest Moon can be tricky as the Ewoks will hit much harder than they look like they can do. A strong G9+ team with Emperor Palpatine, Darth Nihilus, or Darth Vader as a lead is recommended. Ground War may take some finagling while battling multiple tiers of droids. A resistance team lead by Finn (with his zeta) is optimal, while a Teebo-led team with Ewok Elder, Rey, R2, and Poe can also do well.
More Omega Battles for July
Two more Omega Battles return later this month as well. Omega Battles: Hoth returns on 7/22 (requires Scoundrel or First Order) and Omega Battles: Jakku returns on 7/23 (requires Nightsister or Jawa). These events offer ability mats and credits are both relatively easy to complete with G7 toons.
