After speaking with Lukas from The Alliance on Friday, I also spoke with Jolly Roger of The Resistance, a Server on Discord, about the recent State of the Galaxy publicized by The Alliance this weekend.
First off, for those who do not know, The Resistance is a server on Discord with the goal of having “an open line with EA and CG.” Their overall mission is to ensure that Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes continues to be a great game by effectively communicating with the fans and players of SWGoH as well as the developers.
Below is my interview of Jolly Roger – I hope you enjoy.
Gaming-fans.com – I recently spoke with Lukas from The Alliance about the letter to the CG/EA devs which was made public on Friday. What involvement, if any, did you have in the letter that everyone is discussing in regards to SWGoH and new content?
JR: I did not have any involement creating that letter. I knew it was being drafted and saw its progression as it was being formed, but that letter came strictly from The Alliance and they are the authors of it. I am not a member of TA, I just work closely with their leadership.
Gaming-fans.com – How would you categorize your level of support of The Alliance’s letter to the CG/EA devs?
JR: I suport their message. We as gamers have been left in the dark and are sometimes caught off guard with things that EA/CG posts. The Alliance is trying to do what I am doing with my leadership and rep server, we want to open the lines of communication with CG/EA.
Gaming-fans.com – What would you say is the goal of those, like yourself, who want to reach out and communicate with the developers at Capital Games?
JR: I mean it goes without saying we support any group that wants to improve, and contribute to, the long-term health of the game, from mega-guilds like TA to individual posters on the forums and Reddit.
Gaming-fans.com – I read on the server that you have been in contact with the developers at CG. Would you say that they have been receptive to what you have to say?
JR: I believe they were, I spoke with them for about 45 minutes on the phone, but I can not say too much on that with out getting their permission first. It was a big step for our movement and I want to continue to move forward with them. They listened to everything I had to say and sounded excited to chat again. We (me and CG) are on the same team here, we both want to make the game better and we want to improve communications. I truly believe they want to better the community from our chat. I will be speaking to them again in another week, where we will go over what expectations are from both parties.
