TFEW: Best Power Cores for Sandstorm & Octone

TFEW - Transformers Earth Wars

Welcome to the latest in our series of articles about the Transformers Earth Wars mobile game where we take a look at the best Power Cores for each Transformers Earth Wars bot. While our staff will never claim to have all of the answers for TFEW, we do our homework and test out each bot to ensure we are making only the best recommendations.

Sandstorm and Octone are triple changers with the same HP / DPS stats as their fellow triple changers, Springer and Astrotrain. There is a huge difference in how they are used though. They are intended to rush into the thick of the battle with their abilities, Supply Drop and Tar Sands Rush. Used alone, the healing and damage from these abilities are not terribly impressive, but in combination, they are formidable! So, which cores work the best for these bots?

Best Power Core for Sandstorm & Octone:

Best Core: Attack Core – The Attack Core on these bots is very useful. Although they do have relatively high DPS, they have fairly low HP and are on the front lines frequently and behave very similarly to Springer and Astrotrain. As a result, having them rush in is an extremely tenuous proposition without some kind of support or healing ability. For the same reason Astrotrain/Springer would have the Attack Core attached to them is the same reason these bots have it. You are intended to use these bots on the front lines in a support role, but not bearing the brunt of the base’s defenses.

If you have some Prime Cores, these bots do get much stronger! They are ideal candidates for the Alpha Trion Core as they are special class, which limits their access to many other cores. Also, as Octone and Sandstorm are front line bots, the Micronus and Solus Prime Cores could be options as well.
