Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes may be in full seasonal mode with the studio set to take their holiday vacation and events set on auto-pilot throughout the end of December, but that does not mean news is not being made. Recent datamines are raising eyebrows and Accidental Chromium Purchases are also a topic after the December 19 update went live.
Starting with the Accidental Chromium Purchases, of which I was dumb enough to fall victim, a forum post today o the EA SWGoH forums stated that “we will give you one Chromium pack (350) worth of crystals back to you if you purchased one on accident.” Of course after having Sabine Wren at 7-stars since shortly after the first Grand Admiral Thrawn event when she became farmable. Thus, the 8 shards I received were, after my confusion subsided, nothing more than Shard Store currency.
Perhaps the biggest item of note from the update was the datamined info for January that was gathered in. Multiple Reddit posts today, including this one, claimed that the Daily Login Character in January would not be a character, but a ship – the Slave I. This has led to much speculation about the OT Millennium Falcon being released in January and the need for Bounty Hunter/Scoundrel ships being needed for a new Legendary Event. While this has been rumored for some time, I know many in the PTP did not buy the ship packages around Cad Bane’s and IG-88’s ships leaving the now farmable ships still far from ready for such an event.

The keys, as always, will bee to see how all of these items above unfold. Plenty of info has been datamined in the past and is still not in the game, so all we can hope for in the SWGoH community is to see Capital Games keep this game fun, enjoyable and spend-worthy for many years to come.
