Nexus Prime Core
The Nexus Prime Core is one of 12 Prime Cores in Transformers Earth Wars which offers the Power of the Primes to enhance the equipped bot’s abilities. Each bot is able to equip a single Power Core to enhance their abilities, with the 12 Prime Cores qualifying as the best of the Power Cores in the game. TFEW allows players to open a Prime Core from gathering 5,000 Prime Core Chips which are earned from a variety of weekend events.
Starting at Level 1 it reads “If you deploy before your Combiner deploys, your Combiner will deal a percentage of additional damage with all attacks.”
Level 1 – 1%
Level 5 – 5%
Level 10 – 10%
Level 15 – 15%
Level 20 – 20%
Note that the originally published content by SpaceApe stated 6% damage at Level 1, but tests by Alpha Prime using the Nexus Prime Core showed 1% increase per level of the core.
Best Bots for Nexus Prime Core
So who are the best bots for the Nexus Prime Core? Since the Nexus Prime Core is going to enhance the offensive firepower of your combiner, this is a Prime Core that I would suggest using on a bot in your primary war team or save for situational use. This Prime Core will NOT help your Defensive outpost bots and the bot you equip with the Nexus Prime Core needs to be deployed BEFORE the combiner is used to get the positive effects. Because of all of this, it is widely regarded as the worst of the 12 Prime Cores receiving a “D” grade from Rae of Primes Gone Wild, the author of the spreadsheet of text on the Prime Cores that is often seen on Discord, Line and Band.
Since combiners can be used to actually destroy defensive units or just to draw away the outpost bots in the middle of a battle, this will be based on the individual’s strategic use of the combiner. The “best bots” for the Nexus Prime Core to be similar to the list for the Alpha Trion Prime Core given this is more of a support core, however unlike Alpha Trion where you want the equipped bot to live as long as possible, this core is simply there to boost your combiner and offers nothing more to the specific bot. I could see using this on a gunner who stays back from the action and attacks at range but is not needed for their special ability. I could also see this core used on the primary bot I use for the Alpha Trion Prime Core – Tracks. Since Tracks & Cutthroat are not bots used primarily for attacks and are used to lower damage received by the team from the Smoke Bomb special, this core seems like a good fit. Others to consider include Silverbolt, Perceptor and Cosmos given none of them have a specific G1 or other Power Core that is an ideal fit.
