MSF: Five things we could see in Marvel Strike Force after Endgame (Spoilers)

MSF - Endgame

Let me start this article off by saying SPOILERS AHEAD. If you have not seen Avengers: Endgame yet you’re reading this, I suggest you go watch the movie first. I am now adding fluff text just to help further delay things so that you have more time to leave the site and ensure I do not spoil anything in the movie for you. Seriously, this is your last chance.

Endgame Spoilers Below

While Avengers: Endgame is breaking box office records, the result of the movie should start spilling over into Marvel Strike Force in the coming weeks. Even though FoxNext seems to have a good handle on the inevitable power creep of a game like this, doing too much too quickly is not something we recommend. That having been said I feel confident in the studio’s actions already to avoid the game getting out of hand like other titles with similar gameplay. Anyway, here are a few items we could see in the game in the near future.

Nebula & Gamora synergy

Nebula and Gamora have quite a history in the MCU that is often referenced in the films and shown briefly in Endgame. Some kind of synergy, maybe one where Nebula gets low on health and Gamora swoops in to protect her, seems appropriate. Then, if Thanos is also on the team he inflicts punishment on Nebula for her failures…

Strengthened Black Widow & Hawkeye synergy

Given the MCU makes nods to their working together in the past and the comics have had these two as lovers, however they are portrayed, Endgame shows the bond between Black Widow & Hawkeye as a strong one. I take it as more of a brother/sister relationship, but with the Black Widow movie scheduled for early 2020 we may finally get to see more of the backstory.

Girl Power

Many will not like this part as one of my contacts referred to it as “Needless girl fights” when discussing the movie on Friday morning. But the idea of a “Girl Power” synergy could be one to further push the narrative that Marvel and Disney obviously want us to see. And for the record, I don’t care one way or the other. Entertain me and I am just fine.

A More Powerful Thanos

Thanos is a bad ass. Period. Like just powerful as hell. So why is he just “good” in Marvel Strike Force when he should be great? I could see a new ability being added and maybe a team synergy with Gamora and Nebula or a Children of Thanos faction and resulting synergy with Cull Obsidian, Corvus Glaive, Proxima Midnight or Ebony Maw. Either way, I’d like to see a really awesome version of Thanos, maybe even one ability with a huge cooldown that can then “snap” away 50% of his enemies…

Awesome Scarlet Witch

She pretty much was going to beat Thanos all by herself in the film were it not for the rain fire from the ships above. Yet in MSF Scarlet Witch is just okay in my opinion. Seeing her turned into a top-tier character in-game seems to make a lot of sense after what we just witnessed.

And one “bonus” item. Big SPOILER below

What about some kind of unselfish, for the good of all ability for Iron Man in Marvel Strike Force? He’s already a good character, but in my opinion, like Thanos, not great, so maybe a new ability that allows him to protect all of his allies or adds an ability to wipe out all villains but sacrifice himself?
