Continuing the Relic Review series, we take a look at Jolee Bindo’s Relic upgrades and the impact it has on the game. As always these reviews compare a character at Gear 13, Relic Level 0 with Relic Level 7, and mods are not factored in.
For Jolee Bindo, his Lightsaber is his Relic in SWGoH. His statistics impacted include Health, Physical & Special Damage, Armor, Resistance, Physical Critical Chance and finally Physical & Special Critical Avoidance from his Mastery.
Defensively, Jolee Bindo gets and one of the highest Health boosts in the game, an increase of 31,716 (over 91% increase) bringing him to 66,225. While his defensive Armor stat gets a below average 9.04% increase, his armor is already a one of his strengths, so a large gain was not needed. Add to it that he gets a 10.81% gain in Resistance, the 15th highest gain in SWGoH from Relics, and his Resistance stat can increase to 43.81% placing him in the top third of all characters in the game. While Jolee does not gain any Protection, Deflection or Dodge Chance, he does gain a very nice 13.5% Physical and Critical Avoidance.
On the offensive side, Jolee Bindo does gain 1,631 Physical Damage, we can ignore the much larger gain in Special Damage increase since he only deals Physical Damage and is not intended to hit hard. A 18% Physical Critical Chance gain increase is nice, but again, Jolee is not used for offensive reasons. Finally, there are no Accuracy, Health Steal, or Resistance or Armor Penetration increases to his stats.
As we look at Jolee Bindo’s place in today’s SWGoH, he remains the key to keeping a Jedi Knight Revan team alive with his healing and revives. Given the importance of this Jedi team in the Grand Arena Championships and Territory Wars, upgrading Jolee is a safe and wise investment. However, what makes him one of the top characters to consider is the increase in his Health stat. His kit is already centered around his Health numbers as described in Jolee Bindo’s mods guide, and by increasing it from 34,509 to 66,225 this will really have a major impact on his effectiveness. Jolee’s No Other Options basic, Eh, You Do It special and Experience & Wisdom unique all benefit him or his allies when you have a higher Health number, so this increase is really a big deal.
Additional note: Now that the Light Side Geonosis Territory Battle is both out and working as intended, I have seen the important of Jolee’s Relic grow tremendously. I was able to score a 3/4 in Phase 2 and a 1/4 in Phase 3 using G12 JKR, Bastila, HYoda with G13 Relic 4 GMY and Relic 7 Jolee Bindo, and this is just the tip of the iceburg.
Overall I am highly impressed with the gains that Jolee Bindo gets from his Relic upgrades, and with Geonosis: Republic Offensive now factored in, I am rating Jolee’s Relic as a High Priority, one of the Top 5 in the game.
