Welcome to the Iso-8 guide for Karnak, the latest in our series about the popular game Marvel Strike Force. In this series we look at the best Iso-8 enhancements for MSF characters. While some may refer to Iso-8 as simply “mods” like in other mobile games, we will look to stay true to the naming convention of the Marvel universe and the developers over at Scopely. We at Gaming-fans.com certainly do not claim to have all of the answers in this game, but we do our research and look to use every hero and villain we write about extensively. These are Iso-8 recommendations based on the character’s kit and actual gameplay to help you in your quest to dominate in Marvel Strike Force. Note that these Iso-8 classes may differ from one team makeup to another, so feel free use this as guide knowing that these can change in differing situations within MSF’s gameplay.
Today’s character to review is Karnak. A key member of the Inhumans, for the purposes of MSF Karnak is a Hero, Cosmic, Skill, Controller, Martial Artist and Inhuman. Let’s take a look at the stats we want to focus on enhancing now that Iso-8 modifications have been added to Marvel Strike Force.
Main Focus: Damage, Critical Chance & Focus. Karnak gets a boost in Focus from each Inhuman ally and can flip positive effects into negative effects on enemies. In addition he can reduce an enemy’s speed bar, hit harder with critical hits on his basic and clear all positive effects on an enemy with his Pressure Points special.
Ideal Iso-8 Class for Karnak in Marvel Strike Force:
While my original thought for Karnak was to use him as a Raider, particularly given how the added Critical Chance can enhance his kit, the Striker role seems like a better fit. Given Yo-Yo will almost always take the first turn when running a team of Inhumans with Black Bolt, Crystal, Karnak, Quake and Yo-Yo (assuming no Speed Down debuff or Stun), using Yo-Yo as a Skirmisher and Karnak next as a Striker can prove quite effective in starting the battle off strong. However, if used as a Raider, Karnak can apply even more Vulnerable Iso-8 debuffs, so this really comes down to how you use your Inhumans and prefer your attack strategy.
