SWGoH: Best Mods for The Armorer

The Armorer - SWGoH

Welcome to the best mods for The Armorer, the latest article in our series about the popular game Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes where we take a look at the best mods for each SWGoH character. While I do not claim to have all of the answers in this game, I do my research and have used every character I write about extensively. These are mod recommendations and they are certainly not the only option. However we look to help players maximize their characters in SWGoH and we are always open to feedback if you have a mod setup that works well for your gameplay.

The Armorer - SWGoHToday’s character to review mods for will be The Armorer, an important character who had very little screen time in Season 1 of The Mandalorian on Disney+. The Armorer is originally available via a Marquee event called Way of the Mandalore, and is reintroducing the Mandalorian tag in SWGoH, creating new synergies for gameplay along with Sabine Wren, Gar Saxon and more. Let’s take a look at the best mods to enhance her kit and improve her effectiveness on the holotables.

Main Focus: Speed. The Armorer has a bit of a Wat Tambor feel to her kit with the way she enhances enemies, only in this case she really brings value to Beskar armor-clad characters which include all Mandalorian tagged characters and Boba Fett (for now). After running the event battles and early testing it seems that getting her to take turns more often is the way to make her the most effective. You want her to gather up Beskar Ingots and then pass along the stacks of Beskar Armor to her allies, and getting her Speed stat up is going to help this happen at a faster rate. Given the fact that her base Speed is 186, the 5th fastest non-Galactic Legend in SWGoH and 9th fastest overall, a Speed set is my recommendation here.

Additional Areas to Focus: Survivability and Tenacity. Survivability is key with The Armorer as her role is to support her Mandalorian and Beskar armor-clad allies. While Defense is never a bad stat to improve upon, Health and Protection appear to be a better investment given her leadership, Our Survival is our Strength, sees all Mandalorian allies gain Protection Up (200%) to start any battle, and we know that in SWGoH, Protection Up is based on the character’s Max Health stat. In addition, the Both Hunter and Prey unique grants allies 40% Protection recovery the first time they fall below 60% Health, so like Health, Protection becomes an even more important stat for all characters used alongside The Armorer. Now that we also have Bo-Katan Kryze in the game with a Mandalorian leader ability as well, both Health and Protection continue to be a great area of focus for The Armorer. Tenacity, while not really a survivability stat, contributes to survivability and is a wise investment for The Armorer. Like any new character in SWGoH, using their special abilities is the key to their success, and debuffs like Ability Block or Shock can really derail your battle. As a result increasing Tenacity is recommended. Outside of this I would not worry about Offense, CC/CD or Potency and instead start ay hyper focused on a fast, survivable character.

Speed Priority: 9/10 – While it is early this looks like a character that those who whale on and gear up fast will want to put some very good Speed mods on. Add in high Health and fantastic Speed secondaries from your mod stats and you’re going to have a lot of fun with the new Mandalorian faction in SWGoH.

In-game Mod Recommendations: Speed & Health. No disagreement here unless you can find a Tenacity set with ridiculously high Health and Protection stats. Like I have said before, CG usually nails the mod recommendations on new characters.

Ideal Mod Setup for SWGoH The Mandalorian (Beskar Armor):

The “ideal mod setup” can be interpreted a few different ways, but as I explained above I am suggesting a set of four Speed mods and a set of two Health or Tenacity mods, based on your available mod inventory, with the right secondary stat gains of course. Here are my recommendations for mods on The Armorer in SWGoH:

  • Transmitter (Square) – Speed mod with offense primary and a secondary focus on speed, health, protection and tenacity
  • Receiver (Arrow) – Health/Tenacity mod with speed primary and a secondary focus on health, protection and tenacity
  • Processor (Diamond) – Speed mod with defense primary and a secondary focus on speed, health, protection and tenacity
  • Holo-Array (Triangle) – Speed mod with health or protection primary and a secondary focus on speed, protection, health and tenacity
  • Data-Bus (Circle) – Speed mod with health primary and a secondary focus on speed, health, protection and tenacity
  • Multiplexer (Plus) – Health/Tenacity mod with health or protection primary and a secondary focus on speed, health, protection and tenacity
