SWGoH: Best Mods for Supreme Leader Kylo Ren (Galactic Legend)

SWGoH: Supreme Leader Kylo Ren

Welcome to the best mods for Supreme Leader Kylo Ren (Galactic Legend), the latest article in our series about the popular game Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes where we take a look at the best mods for specific SWGoH characters. While I do not claim to have all of the answers in this game, I do my research and have used every character I write about extensively (except for this one – see below). These are mod recommendations based on the character’s kit and actual gameplay (see below) to help you in your quest to dominate the Galaxy of Heroes holotables.

Today’s character to review mods for is the other star of the sequel trilogy, Kylo Ren, only in his new Supreme Leader form. We have seen Kylo Ren now in three forms, first the crouched Kylo who had one of the coolest early Zeta abilities where he recovered protection based on the damage dealt from his special attack, then the Unmasked version who made the First Order at least relevant for the past two years leading up to today. Now both of these two original versions of Kylo Ren are needed, at Relic level 7 no less, to have a chance to unlock the new Galactic Legend version of Kylo Ren, the character we are reviewing today.

Main Focus: Speed. Just like Galactic Legend Rey, Supreme Leader Kylo Ren is incredibly fast with a base Speed of 393 (Rey has 398), making him the second fastest character in the game. Note that the next fastest character after the four Galactic Legends is Moff Gideon at 198, so each Galactic Legend is nearly double the base speed (or higher) of every other character in the game. While I always say to enhance a strength, and I am not going to go against this with the new Kylo or Rey, but the types of mods used on Supreme Leader Kylo Ren will differ a bit. For Supreme Leader Kylo Ren I am suggesting a set of four Speed mods to get the 15% Speed boost (nearly +60 Speed), but the secondary stats will not be as focused on the fastest mods in my inventory, but rather the best all-around Speed mods I have available to enhance the stats mentioned below.

Other Areas of Focus: Offense, Critical Chance, Critical Damage, Health, Protection and Tenacity. Offense, CC and CD will make SLK hit harder, as he is the more offensively driven of the first four Galactic Legend characters in the game with some serious damage stats. One note is that he reaches Gear 13 and Relics are in play for Supreme Leader Kylo Ren, he will actually exceed 100% Critical Chance, so with this in mind you should not need additional CC boosts from the secondary stats once you get him geared and Relic-ed up unless you are facing a lot of characters with high Crit Avoidance. Adding additional Health and Protection will improve his survivability and enhance the effectiveness of the Press the Advantage unique. Finally, added Tenacity seems wise given how awesome SLK’s kit is – keeping him free of major debuffs will keep him attacking at his full potential.

In-game Mod Recommendations: Speed & Health. No disagreement on Speed given the Galactic Legend characters have such high base Speed stats.

Ideal Mod Setup for SWGoH Supreme Leader Kylo Ren (Galactic Legend):

Here are my recommendations for the best mods approach for Kylo Ren’s Galactic Legend version. I would suggest using a Speed set along with a Health or Tenacity set, depending on where you can find the best secondary stats to best maximize his abilities in SWGoH. Note that these do not have to be your absolute fastest Speed mods, but merely your best Speed mods to enhance SLK’s stats.

  • Transmitter (Square) – Health or Tenacity mod with a primary focus on offense and a secondary focus on speed, offense, tenacity and health/protection
  • Receiver (Arrow) – Speed mod with a primary focus on speed and a secondary focus on critical chance, offense, health and protection
  • Processor (Diamond) – Speed mod with a primary focus on defense and a secondary focus on speed, health, protection and offense
  • Holo-Array (Triangle) – Speed mod with a primary focus on critical damage and a secondary focus on speed, offense, health or protection
  • Data-Bus (Circle) – Health or Tenacity mod with a primary focus on protection and a secondary focus on speed, health, tenacity and offense
  • Multiplexer (Plus) – Speed mod with a focus on offense and a secondary focus on speed, health, protection and offense
