SWGoH: Best Mods for Darth Talon

Darth Talon - SWGoH

Welcome to the best mods for Darth Talon, the latest article in our series about the popular game Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes where we take a look at the top mods for SWGoH characters. While I do not claim to have all of the answers in this game, I do my research and have used every character I write about extensively. These are mod recommendations based on the character’s kit and actual gameplay to help you in your quest to dominate the Galaxy of Heroes holotables.

Darth Talon - SWGoHToday’s character to review mods for will be for Darth Talon, one of the requirements for unlocking Starkiller in Galaxy of Heroes. Darth Talon was the third of four new non-canon marquee characters added to the game in November/December 2021 and is described in-game as a “Nimble Sith attacker whose loyalty and lethality is without question.” Let’s take a look at which mods will best help maximize Darth Talon’s kit in Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes.

Main Focus: While her base Physical Damage stat is nothing to get excited about, like many new characters in SWGoH, the draw is in how that stat can stack. With stacks of Loyal Hand adding +10% Offense per stack and capping at 20 stacks, Darth Talon has the potential to be a very strong offensive character in Galaxy of Heroes, so a set of four Offense mods feels like the best way to go.

Additional Areas to Focus: Speed, Critical Chance, Critical Damage and survivability in the forms of Health & Protection. Speed is a necessary evil in Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes and Darth Talon, while not having a high base Speed at 160, she grants her Sith allies +20 Speed at the start of each battle. In addition, thanks to her Omicron ability upgrade, Darth Talon can stack even more Speed when used with the Sith Triumvirate (Darth Traya, Darth Sion & Darth Nihilus) in the Grand Arena. Protection, like Offense (mentioned above) stacks thanks to the Loyal Hand buff, adding +10% Max Protection with each stack and capping at 20 stacks, so adding more Protection with the circle mod is an option. That having been said, Sith allies gain +30% Max Health at the start of each battle, so as long as you are gaining Health and Protection in the secondary stats from your mods, you can make your own choice of which circle mod best fits Darth Talon on your roster. Adding to her offensive capabilities, maximizing Darth Talon’s Critical Chance & Critical Damage is a good move given this is always helpful on any offensive character. Given the stacking Offense stat, I would lean toward a triangle with an Offense focus over CD, but again, this will come down to what mods you have in your inventory.

In-game Mod Recommendations: Offense & Health. Once again, I agree with the devs on how they recommend we mod new characters. While I wish they would go back and review several older characters that came pre-mods 2.0, I guess that is why this site is so popular. Thank you all for your support!

Ideal Mod Setup for SWGoH Darth Talon:

The “ideal mod setup” can be interpreted a few different ways. If you target Offense through the mods with strong Speed secondaries and added Health & Protection, you should come away with a fantastic boost to your Sith lineup. Here are my recommendations for the best mods for Darth Talon:

  • Transmitter (Square) – Offense mod with offense primary and a secondary focus on speed, offense, health and protection or critical chance
  • Receiver (Arrow) – Offense mod with speed primary and a secondary focus on offense, health, protection and critical chance
  • Processor (Diamond) – Offense mod with defense primary and a secondary focus on speed, offense, health and protection or critical chance
  • Holo-Array (Triangle) – Offense mod with offense primary and a secondary focus on speed, offense, health and protection or critical chance
  • Data-Bus (Circle) – Health mod with health or protection primary and a secondary focus on speed, offense, health and protection or critical chance
  • Multiplexer (Plus) – Health mod with offense primary and a secondary focus on speed, offense, health and protection or critical chance
