EA Capital Games was busy on Tuesday as the community got a ton of new information that included a new character, a new Omicron upgrade on an otherwise irrelevant character in SWGoH and an updated State of the Galaxy. There is a lot here to sink our teeth into, so I will try to summarize as best I can.
To start, the Ninth Sister is an Inquisitor and a hulk of a character from Jedi Fallen Order and she will join the Inquisitorius faction in what seems to be building up to another Starkiller-like Journey Guide character. That character is likely the Grand Inquisitor from Star Wars Rebels or a new Inquisitor we have yet to be introduced to, possibly a character from the Obi-Wan Kenobi series. Sticking with the SWGoH news, Ninth Sister will be the tank of the newest faction in the game and is described as “A ruthless member of the feared Inquisitorius who will stop at nothing in her hunt for the Jedi.” Read about her kit and abilities on the EA SWGoH forums.
In addition to the new character, the other in-game update that impacts us right away is the addition of an Omicron ability upgrade to Director Krennic in the Grand Arena. The updated unique ability now adds the following text: “While in Grand Arenas: Krennic gains +30% Defense Penetration, Health and Offense. If Death Trooper is present he also gains these bonuses. Whenever Krennic attacks, Death Trooper is called to assist and has his cooldowns reduced by 1. While allied Death Trooper is active, both Krennic and Death Trooper ignore Taunt.” On paper this does not sound that impactful, but as always time will tell and much depends on where you are in the game.
The final item of the day was the State of the Galaxy update. While not a full Road Ahead that sums up what is to come in Galaxy of Heroes from a big-picture perspective, the State of the Galaxy is like a smaller look at what is in the works. While it was obviously intended to be released last week based on the outdated text, we got a glimpse of a bit of what EA Capital Games has in store for us.
