SWGoH: Best Projecting Power Datacrons

Welcome to the best Projecting Power datacrons, the latest in our new series about the popular game Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes where we take a look at the best datacrons in SWGoH. As I have stated elsewhere on this site, while I do not claim to have all of the answers in this game, I do my research and, like in our Best Mods for SWGoH characters series, I try to do my research and understand the details and practical use of each of these datacrons. These are recommendations based on the possible datacrons stats and actual gameplay to help you in your quest to dominate the Galaxy of Heroes holotables.

Today’s datacron to review is the Projecting Power datacron, the 5th set of datacrons in the game’s history. Active until February 20, 2023, these brown/tan & green datacrons are the newest addition to datacrons in SWGoH. Since they are so new, this article will be updated in the coming weeks as we gather more data and can test out the best use of this datacron.

Projecting Power Datacron Alignment, Faction & Character Targets

  • Dark Side
    • The first time each Dark Side ally is defeated, remaining Dark Side allies gain 15% Offense and 20 Speed for the rest of the encounter.
    • Whenever buffs or debuffs are dispelled from Dark Side allies, at the end of that turn they gain Tenacity Up and Potency Up for 2 turns.
    • Dark Side allies recover 2% Health whenever they critically hit an enemy.
    • Whenever Dark Side allies use a Special ability they gain 15% Turn Meter.

  • Embo
    • At the start of Battle, 90% of Embo’s Health is converted to Protection. If Embo has Protection at the start of a turn, he can’t be defeated that turn.
  • General Hux
    • If Supreme Leader Kylo Ren is in the allied Leader slot and all allies are First Order at the start of battle (excluding summoned allies), General Hux gains Dominance at the start of each encounter and at the start of each of his turns if he didn’t already have it.
Dominance expires at the end of the turn whenever General Hux is critically hit.
  • Greedo

    • Whenever Supreme Leader Kylo Ren is dealt Physical damage, reflect 20% of the damage dealt back onto the attacker, this damage can’t defeat enemies.

Best Projecting Power Datacrons

  • Jabba the Hutt – The Level 9 datacron with “Jabba the Hutt gains 15% Turn Meter when other allies use a Special ability on their turn,” appears, at least on paper, to be fantastic. Jabba can disrupt an opponent already with how his team works, so if you have him unlocked this is a great datacron to farm.
  • Supreme Leader Kylo Ren – If using SLKR along with Nightsisters on non-First Order allies the combination of Level 6 “At the start of battle, First Order allies gain Retribution for 3 turns, which can’t be dispelled,” and Level 9, “Whenever Supreme Leader Kylo Ren is dealt Physical damage, reflect 20% of the damage dealt back onto the attacker, this damage can’t defeat enemies,” appear to be fantastic.
  • General Hux – When using SLKR on a full First Order with General Hux, the Hux-focused datacron should pack a nice punch. “If Supreme Leader Kylo Ren is in the allied Leader slot and all allies are First Order at the start of battle (excluding summoned allies), General Hux gains Dominance at the start of each encounter and at the start of each of his turns if he didn’t already have it. Dominance expires at the end of the turn whenever General Hux is critically hit.”
