SWGoH: Rise of the Empire – Phase 2 Dark Side Combat Mission fighting the Nexu (Right)

SWGoH - Rise of the Empire Territory Battle

Phase 2 of the newest Territory Battle, Rise of the Empire, is here. Unlike previous Territory Battles in SWGoH, the Rise of the Empire TB features Light Side, Dark Side and Neutral paths and Platoons are now called Operations. Unlike previous Territory Battles, the characters used in those Operation have minimum Relic level, causing many Territory Battles leads to lose even more of their hair.

The Rise of the Empire Territory Battle features six Phases which last 24 hours each. Most of the six Phases of the event has a Special Mission rewarding Mk III Guild Event Tokens in Phases 1, 4, 5 and 6 and Reva (Third Sister) shards in Phase 3.

The following is a Walkthrough of my experiences in Phase 2 that will be updated over time. Specifically, this covers the Combat Mission on the right side on the Dark Side map that requires Dark Side or Neutral characters at Relic 6 or higher to face the Nexu.

Phase 2 Combat Mission Requirements:

  • Dark Side or Neutral – Relic 6+

My Roster of Characters:

  • Total Power – 170k
  • Supreme Leader Kylo Ren – Relic 8 – 51,822 power
  • Kylo Ren (Unmasked) – Relic 8 – 34,720 power
  • General Hux – Relic 7 – 30,363 power
  • Sith Trooper – Relic 6 – 27,532 power
  • First Order Officer – Relic 7 – 26,388 power

Phase 2 Combat Mission Battle Notes:

12.14.22 – I leave Kylo Ren on the bench for this one in favor of FOO as I like my mods on him and how he works with the First Order team.

This battle features two waves of enemies, the first being a team of Geonosians. The Geos do not prove to be much challenge as I stun the Geo Brute, pass the turn to SLKR and stun GBA and then use AoEs against the Geonosians to soften them up before SLKR goes into his ultimate and finishes them off.

Facing the Nexu in the second wave, I build up SLKR’s power and go into ultimate and kill the Nexu, but not before he kills Hux and FOO. I can tell you that using the Supreme Leader Kylo Ren team here really did not offer me any significant challenge and the strategy, as always with SLKR was to poke the enemies with the middle ability then swipe with the third ability when debuffs were present on my allies to remove them. I will be sure to update this with more specifics in a future Rise of the Empire Territory Battle event if/when I try out a different team composition.
