Today’s character to review is tank of the Hydra minions, the Hydra Armored Guard. Hydra Armored Guard is a Villain, Global, Tech, Protector, Minion who is of course a member of the Hydra faction in MSF. Let’s take a look at the stats we want to focus on enhancing through Iso-8 modifications in Marvel Strike Force.
Main Focus: Hydra Armored Guard is a defensive character who gains taunt when he uses his Alert! special and grants extra Armor to Red Skull and his Hydra minion allies. While he also heals for +10% of his Max Health on each turn, this means you definitely want high Armor and Health stats to keep Hydra Armored Guard alive and taunting to soak up the damage and keep his allies on the attack.
Ideal Iso-8 Class for Hydra Armored Guard in Marvel Strike Force:
Hydra Armored Guard has one purpose – to eat up enemy attacks while making the Red Skull Hydra team as difficult to defeat as possible. The way his kit works in Marvel Strike Force, there are only two class options that make sense for Hydra Armored Guard – the Healer class or the Fortifier Class. This is where the team composition plays a huge role in the Iso-8 use, but honestly both should be effective for Hydra Armored Guard and this will come down to personal gameplay preference.
