SWGoH: Rise of the Empire – Phase 2 Light Side Fleet Combat Mission

SWGoH - Rise of the Empire Territory Battle

The newest Territory Battles are here as the Rise of the Empire Territory Battle was launched in December 2022. Unlike previous Territory Battles in SWGoH, the Rise of the Empire TB features Light Side, Dark Side and Neutral paths and Platoons are now called Operations.

The Rise of the Empire Territory Battle features six Phases which last 24 hours each. Each of the six Phases of the event has a Special Mission rewarding Mk III Guild Event Tokens in Phases 1, 4, 5 and 6 and Reva (Third Sister) shards in Phase 3.

The following is a Walkthrough of my experiences in Phase 2 that will be updated over time. This Phase 2 Combat Mission requires a 7-star ships and the reward for winning is 500k Territory Points.

Phase 2 Special Mission Requirements:

  • 7-star Light Side ships

My Roster of Ships:

  • Total Power – 554k
  • Negotiator – 78,604 power
  • BTL-B Y-Wing – 45,142 power
  • Anakin’s ETA-2 Straighter – 73,340 power
  • Rex’s ARC-170 – 75,552 power

Phase 1 Fleet Combat Mission Battle Notes:

12.13.22 – Fighting with the Negotiator after I platooned multiple Rebel ships, the battle takes place against Thrawn’s Chimaera with the Scythe. I start by attacking the Scythe and do not get very far as it forces the taunt on the TIE and goes behind stealth. The enemies easily overpower my Y-Wing despite adding Pro Noon in to heal, and when the TIE/IN Interceptor joins the fight he doesn’t even go after Anakin but it does not matter. They take out Anakin shortly after the Y-Wing, survive my bombing run, and make me look silly for even trying.

Take 2:

My Roster of Ships:

  • Total Power – k
  • Home One – _ power
  • Rebel Y-Wing – _ power
  • Bistan’s U-wing – _ power
  • Han’s Millennium Falcon – _ power

Phase 2 Fleet Combat Mission Battle Notes:

12.14.22 – Now we try Home One after the Negotiator failed miserably yesterday. Fighting the Scythe is tough as it forces enemies to attack the Imperial TIE Fighter which has high evasion, gains Foresight and grants the Capital Ship turn meter when it avoids attacks. I get a couple of hits in on Darth Vader’s TIE and lose Bistan’s U-wing, then they gang up on my Y-wing and take it out too. Now down to just the Falcon, I call in Cassian and my last-ditch effort of course falls short having accomplished nothing but embarrassing myself.

My takeaway from these two battles – use the Profundity or you will not survive. It is that simple.

Take 3:

My Roster of Ships:

  • Total Power – 585k
  • Profundity – 89,222 power
  • Rebel Y-Wing – 45,142 power
  • Outrider – 75,751 power
  • Han’s Millennium Falcon – 94,585 power

Phase 2 Fleet Combat Mission Battle Notes:

01.10.23 – Profundity time as I got it to 7-stars during the last RotE TB. I start going all-in on the Scythe and it proves to be a very, very thick ship. With enemy buffs up I bring in Cassian and continue to hit the Scythe, getting it to yellow healthy when they kill my Y-wing. I miss something in the description as after getting the Scythe to red health it heals to 100% health and protection, then dies a turn later… I bring in Biggs for the taunt and hit Vader until he should be dead… but he heals top to 100% h/p again as they overwhelm Biggs, killing him off. Luckily my next move is the Profundity’s ultimate, and the battle turns in my favor dramatically. From here just a few more turns and I wipe out the enemy ships for 500k Territory Points.
