Anyone who plays Monopoly GO! enough will get the opportunity to pull off a Bank Heist, when you get to try and take one of three amounts of money from the player who came up on-screen. Typically, you want to find rings for the top prize, money stacks for the mid-level prize or silver coins for the lowest prize and the math is, without actually checking, roughly 33%, 66% and 100% for the three prize tiers of the Bank Heist. But as I remember back to my Nintendo Power magazine in the early 1990s for Super Mario Bros. 3, these matching games can sometime have a pattern. The question is this – Is there a pattern to the Bank Heist in Monopoly GO?
The Eyeball Test
After playing for just a few short days, I found that my mind was picking up on patterns. Now I am no Rainman here counting cards, but I did feel like I was seeing similarities in how the (top prize) rings were appearing on-screen. From here I started taking screenshots to see if the three rings in the corners or in a line on the right side was indeed a pattern like that old Mario 3 reference above.
What do others say?
If you read the Monopoly GO! Reddit page on this topic, you will find all kinds of arguments and negativity (is that all Reddit is anymore?) about the game, including the idea of everything being predetermined. Obviously this has been hashed out many times over in a variety of different locations, and Reddit has a lot on the topic.

So in the end, is there a pattern to the Bank Heist in Monopoly GO? As much as my brain wants to tell me there is a pattern, the more I play and compare the Bank Heist results I have gotten, and the more I factor in my own knowledge of gaming and the industry, I am confident in saying no, there is no pattern that we can pick up on. It may feel that way, but these results do appear to be predetermined, as tough as that may be for some to digest.
