Welcome to the best mods for Kyle Katarn, the latest article in our series about the popular game Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes where we take a look at the top mods for SWGoH characters. While I do not claim to have all of the answers in this game, I do my research and have used every character I write about extensively. These are mod recommendations based on the character’s kit and actual gameplay to help you in your quest to dominate the Galaxy of Heroes holotables.

Today’s character to review mods for will be for Kyle Katarn, one of the requirements for unlocking Starkiller in Galaxy of Heroes. Katarn was the second of four new non-canon marquee characters added to the game in November/December 2021 and is described in-game as a “Force-sensitive Rebel operative and Jedi Knight.” Let’s take a look at which mods will best help maximize Kyle Katarn’s kit in Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes.

Main Focus: Offense feels like the best route to take with Kyle Katarn not because his Physical Damage stat is super high, but because it is a strong number and his basic and first special deal damage multiple times.

Additional Areas to Focus: Speed, Critical Chance, Critical Damage and Defense. Kyle Katarn’s ability to hit multiple times in a turn make him a solid play for an Offense set, and with any offensive character you are going to want high CC and especially Critical Damage, so the CD triangle is a must. Speed is also key for faster characters unless they are constantly called to assist, and it is essential in this game, so high Speed secondaries are recommended but not as essential here. Note the Force Connection and Jedi Knight in his unique – both enhance both Offense and Defense by percentages, not just flat rate stats. This means Kyle Katarn will scale well as the game’s power creep continues in future years and shows the importance of these two stats to his modding.

In-game Mod Recommendations: Offense & Defense. No disagreement at all, but it is still an interesting combination that you rarely see in the game. The Force Connection and Jedi Knight in his unique are the driving force in this recommendation.

Ideal Mod Setup for SWGoH Kyle Katarn:

The “ideal mod setup” can be interpreted a few different ways. If you target offensive stats through the mods and add some high defense you should be able to get a lot out of Kyle Katarn who should help the Rebel Fighter faction nicely. Here are my recommendations for the best mods for Kyle Katarn:

• Transmitter (Square) – Offense mod with offense primary and a secondary focus on speed, offense, defense and critical chance
• Receiver (Arrow) – Offense mod with speed primary and a secondary focus on offense, defense and critical chance
• Processor (Diamond) – Offense mod with defense primary and a secondary focus on speed, defense, offense and critical chance
• Holo-Array (Triangle) – Defense mod with critical damage primary and a secondary focus on speed, offense, defense and critical chance
• Data-Bus (Circle) – Offense mod with protection primary and a secondary focus on speed, offense, critical chance and defense
• Multiplexer (Plus) – Defense mod with offense or defense primary and a secondary focus on speed, offense, critical chance and defense
