Yesterday at D23 Star Wars Battlefront had a panel where they revealed a behind the scenes trailer for the game. You can watch it here:

The trailer began with the Rebellion attacking an Imperial Dockyard prompting stormtroopers and Inferno Squad to get into their TIE Fighters.

Throughout the trailer we learn the motivation of Inferno Squad as well as meet it’s members. They are: Commander Iden Versio, Hask, Del, and their leader Admiral Versio.

The story of Battlefront 2 will take place after the Battle of Endor and the destruction of the Death Star II. It seems the squad will be involved in Operation: Cinder which is the contingency plan of the Emperor. It includes destroying the rest of the Empire and moving to the Unknown Regions.

It is a canon story important to the Star Wars universe so I highly suggest you pick the game up on November 17th.

John Boyega (Finn) also came out in the latter half of the panel and talked about wanting a campaign from the first game and how he finally got one. He also confirmed that he has played the game and showed off some space battle footage above the Imperial Dockyard. The footage even included him attacking a Rebel Corvette so they may be an objective in a game mode.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 is out November 17th, 2017
