After a couple dry months earlier in the year, events are bursting everywhere in Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes! We also have a new reference section of the site available to assist players from all levels of experience.

 

New Characters!

Two new characters are coming to the game this month: Veteran Smugglers Han and Chewbacca. Separate from their other in-game namesakes, this pair arrives through brand new Marquee Events. They have excellent synergy with stacking stats and will also see great utilization within Territory Battles.

 

Smuggler’s Packs and Bundles

With the arrival of Veteran Smugglers Han and Chewbacca, a new pack is available as well as a new bundle to gain extra shards for these characters.

The Smuggler’s Return Packs are available individually for Han and Chewbacca at 1299 crystals a pull. With each pull there is an opportunity to gain 5, 7, 10, 12, 15, 20, 25, 50, 80, 145, 230, or 330 (7* character) shards. The Old Debts Double Bundle is available for $19.99 and offers 25 shards each of Han and Chewbacca, as well as credits, ability mats and gear necessary to bring each of them up to Level 50, Gear 5, and Ability Level 3 and even further. Combined with the shards gained from the Marquee Events, this pack could help bring both characters up to 4* and on your way towards 5* or higher.

 

SWGoH 101: Which Characters First?

An ongoing reference portal for Galaxy of Heroes, SWGoH 101 will be our portal to help players from all levels of experience improve their gameplay.

One of the most perplexing concepts, especially for newer players, is to know which characters should be farmed first and why. The Which Characters First reference guide goes through helping players from the very first levels of the game all the way through Level Cap determine which characters to farm across the game. The guide also helps players prepare for the different events and includes a “TL;DR” quick-list to easily see who to farm in order. Territory Battles!

Unless you’ve been under a rock, you’re likely aware that Territory Battles have arrived to Galaxy of Heroes! Territory Battles Packs

Territory Battles requires a bunch of hard to promote characters across the different phases and there are some temporary packs and bundles available to help players star some required characters as well.

Prepare for Battle Bundle:
Hoth Rebel Soldier and Hoth Rebel Scout are a pair of characters that aren’t often farmed for other parts of the game, but are required for specific combat missions across the different phases. The Prepare for Battle Bundle offers 55 shards each of Hoth Rebel Soldier and Rebel Scout, and more interestingly, the Bundle also offers extremely valuable full pieces of gear that are necessary to bring characters up to the new Gear 12 as well as credits and ability mats. The bundle is $59.99 USD and will be available through 9/17/17.

Hoth Rescue Bundle and Pack:
Newly released just for Territory Battles is Captain Han Solo and he is required in specific combat missions which will be the only places to earn Rebel Officer Leia Organa shards. Captain Han Solo is required at 5* and requires 80 shards just to unlock at 4*, so gaining his shards quickly will prove extremely useful. The Bundle is $9.99 USD and offers 40 shards along with credits and ability mats The Pack is available at 1299 shards a pull and can award anywhere from 10-330 shards of Captain Han Solo.

Rebel Faction Pack and Mega-Pack:
The main Heroes used throughout Territory Battles will be your Rebels faction characters and several phases require more difficult to farm characters as well as intra-factions such as Rogue One and Phoenix Squad. The Rebel Faction Pack offers the ability to pull 10-330 shards of any of the below characters at 699 crystals per pull (up to 10 pulls a day). The Mega-Pack, at 2799 crystals, gives 5 sets of shards between 10-330 of any of the below characters, plus an extra card that will award anywhere from 10-330 shards specifically for Hoth Rebel Scout and Hoth Rebel Soldier.
