Our SWGoH Should I Buy series continues with a review of the First Order Marquee Bundle.
Kylo Ren Unmasked recently appeared in the game through a special Marquee Event, along with his own ship and also First Order SF TIE Pilot with corresponding ship.
The First Order faction has been one of the smallest factions in the game, though it is very powerful and a full First Order team can see a lot of success. The new ships also add to an otherwise skimpy Dark Side ships faction, so these new additions are certainly welcome.
Kylo Ren Unmasked, First Order Special Forces TIE Pilot, TIE Silencer, and First Order Special Forces TIE Fighter are all offered in the First Order Marquee Bundle.
The First Order Marquee Bundle is $19.99 USD and provides the following:
- 25 Kylo Ren Unmasked shards
- 25 TIE Silencer shards
- 25 First Order SF TIE Pilot shards
- 25 First Order SF TIE Fighter shards
- 950K Credits
- 250K Ship Building Materials
- Training Droids
- Enhancement Droids
- Gear and ability mats
The price is a far cry lower than several of the last few bundles, but also offers less overall.
Kylo Ren Unmasked was unlocked through his event at 3* and the other characters and ships were all unlocked at 2*. Through just the marquee event, the unlocked characters and ships were released at such low stars that it is difficult to do much with them in Arena, Territory Battles, or Raids.
The additional Kylo Ren Unmasked shards will take him to 4*, while the additional shards will bring the others to 3*. The additional star for all units gives them a little bit greater usability and the bundle offers both character and ship shards for brand new characters at a relatively low price when compared with other bundles.
Similarly priced past bundles have included 80 shards of a single character at $19.99 USD or 25 shards of a single character at $9.99. The First Order Marquee Bundle offers a hundred total shards, spread across four units, along with some credits and gear.
While the bundle will not instantly allow players to use these units in the higher ranks of Arena or Raids, the bundle will definitely give players an edge over those who have not purchased the bundle. As has been seen in the past, characters offfered in bundles often become required units for Legendary Events or as Platoon Assignments in Territory Battles, and the bundle gives players a chance to quickly get ahead at one of the lowest priced bundles in the game.
At $19.99 USD, the First Order Marquee Bundle is placed well within the realm of quick-splurge without any sticker shock. It may not give an immediately large bang for the buck, but it can benefit discerning players in the long run.
