Welcome to the Iso-8 guide for Iron Man (Zombie), the latest in our series about the popular game Marvel Strike Force. In this series we look at the best Iso-8 enhancements for MSF characters. While some may refer to Iso-8 as simply “mods” like in other mobile games, we will look to stay true to the naming convention of the Marvel universe and the developers over at Boundless Entertainment. We at Gaming-fans.com certainly do not claim to have all of the answers in this game, but we do our research and look to use every hero and villain we write about extensively. These are Iso-8 recommendations based on the character’s kit and actual gameplay to help you in your quest to dominate in Marvel Strike Force. Note that these Iso-8 classes may differ from one team makeup to another, so feel free use this as guide knowing that these can change in differing situations within MSF’s gameplay.
Today’s character to review is Iron Man (Zombie), aka ZIM, the October & Halloween 2022 addition in the Marvel Strike Force 6.5 release. One of the most recognizable Marvel characters in the world, only in Zombie form, Iron Man (Zombie) is a Villain, Global, Bio, Brawler and Undying character in Marvel Strike Force. Let’s take a look at the stats we want to focus on enhancing with Iso-8 modifications.
Main Focus: Health. This new Zombie variant of Iron Man is a stat lover’s dream as he is, at the time of this writing, 7th in Power, 3rd in Health, 17th in Damage, 10th in Armor, 24th (tied) in Focus, 41st in Resistance and tied for 1st in Accuracy in-game. Honestly just get his Iso-8 enhancements completed ASAP as he is a stat machine of a Zombie man and while Health is where he is most impressive, it is clear that Boundless Entertainment wanted him to be a high-value character in the game.
Ideal Iso-8 Setup for Iron Man (Zombie), aka ZIM, in Marvel Strike Force:
Looking at his kit and with minimal early testing, Zombie Iron Man gives off Raider vibes. His Corrupted Unibeam attack has up to +100% CC and high Damage, and this fits well with the increased CC and Critical Damage of the Raider class, and as a high Damage character you always want to have the Raider or Striker class in-play. However, how he meshes with Hela is critical to this, and outside of War Offense where ZIM takes the first turn, he is takes his turn after Hela in other game modes. How this work is this – on War Offense, Iron Man (Zombie)’s Undead Upgrades grants him Speed Up on Spawn, but this only applies to War Offense. So this throws a wrench into the Iso-8 plans.
After consulting with MGF_JB of Grindforce Gaming, he writes “I like Hela as a Raider and ZIM as a Striker. ZIM mind controls on basic so you’d get 2 mind control attacks, plus 2 bleed, plus 2 normal attacks on vulnerable – if it works as written.” And given this breakdown I am leaning in this direction myself, although more testing in multiple game modes is needed and this may come down to personal preference.
