SWGoH - Rise of the Empire Territory Battle

The newest Territory Battles are here as the Rise of the Empire Territory Battle was launched in December 2022. Unlike previous Territory Battles in SWGoH, the Rise of the Empire TB features Light Side, Dark Side and Neutral paths and Platoons are now called Operations and character used in Operations now have minimum Relic levels.

The Rise of the Empire Territory Battle features six Phases which last 24 hours each. Each of the six Phases of the event has a Special Mission rewarding Mk III Guild Event Tokens in Phases 1, 4, 5 and 6 and Reva (Third Sister) shards in Phase 3.

The following is a Walkthrough of my experiences in Phase 1 that will be updated over time. Specifically, this covers the Dark Side Combat Mission on the left side that requires five Dark Side of Neutral characters at Relic 5 or higher.

Phase 1 Dark Side Combat Mission Battle Notes:

12.13.22 – With Darth Revan used in Platoons, I battle here with my remaining Sith Empire characters alongside SEE. I fail to control Droideka thanks to the two taunting Magnaguards, and I lose BSF to a big hit, and B2 also hangs around much longer than necessary. I slowly take the enemies out and save SEE’s ultimate for the second wave as he takes out a B1 and Magnaguard early in that battle. From there I work on the B2s and have Nute left at the end and while he kills off the Sith Marauder and is annoying, I finish him off for another 200k Territory Points


01.09.23 – Testing this battle out with a new team, I take in Emperor Palpatine (r7), Mara Jade (r6), Thrawn (r8), Piett (r9) and Royal Guard (r7) to see what they can do. My team checks in at 162k power and after taking a couple of hits MJ puts Tenacity Down and then Staggers the enemies before I use the AoE Ability Block event attack. I Mark Royal Guard as Piett and MJ are below 100% health, but I am stuck behind a MagnaGuard taunt despite Thrawn fracturing the other one. AoE attacks continue to drain my health and the Droideka kills my RG with a big hit and MJ is killed too. I take out one MagnaGuard, a B1 and B2, but lose Thrawn, but the Droideka is too much as he kills Palpatine and this battle lingers on until Piett finally succumbs. 0 Territory Points on this crappy experiment.
