Welcome to the best Defiance Rising datacrons, the latest in our new series about the popular game Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes where we take a look at the best datacrons in SWGoH. As I have stated elsewhere on this site, while I do not claim to have all of the answers in this game, I do my research and, like in our Best Mods for SWGoH characters series, I try to do my research and understand the details and practical use of each of these datacrons. These are recommendations based on the possible datacrons stats and actual gameplay to help you in your quest to dominate the Galaxy of Heroes holotables.

Today’s datacron to review is the Defiance Rising datacron, the 7th set of datacrons in the game’s history. Active until June 14, 2023, these brown datacrons are the newest addition to datacrons in SWGoH. Since they are so new, this article will be updated in the coming weeks as we gather more data and can test out the best use of this datacron.

 

Defiance Rising Datacron Alignment, Faction & Character Targets

Taking a look at the target stats and who is most impacted by these stats with the Defiance Rising datacron set so that we can best determine how to rate these, we find the following:

Alignment Mechanic Targets

  • Light Side
    • Whenever allies gain a buff, they gain 2% Health & Protection
    • Whenever Light Side allies inflict a debuff, they gain 2% Critical Chance (stacking) for 3 turns.
    • Whenever Light Side allies critically hit enemies more than 4 times during their turn, they gain 5% Critical Damage (stacking) until the end of battle.
    • Whenever Light Side allies inflict a debuff on an enemy, they deal damage to that enemy equal to 2% of that enemy’s Max Health.
    • Whenever Light Side allies gain Tenacity Up, they gain Protection Up (10%, stacking) for 2 turns.

Faction Mechanic Targets

  • Droids
    • At the start of each Droid ally’s turn, inflict Target Lock for 1 turn, which can’t be resisted, to a random enemy that does not have it. Whenever a Droid ally uses a Basic ability against an enemy with Target Lock, they recover 10% Protection and gain 5% Turn Meter.
    • Whenever Droid allies inflict Stagger or Stun on an enemy, they deal bonus damage equal to 35% of that enemy’s Max Health.
    • Whenever a debuff on an enemy expires, Droid allies gain 2% Turn Meter, doubled if that debuff was dispelled by an enemy.
    • At the start of battle, Droid allies gain Retribution for 3 turns, which can’t be dispelled.
    • Whenever Droid allies target another ally with an ability during their turn, they both gain 5% Defense, Max Health, Max Protection, and Offense (stacking) until the end of battle.
    • At the end of their turn, Droid allies recover 50% Protection if they inflicted at least 5 debuffs that turn.
    • Whenever a debuff on an enemy expires, Droid allies gain 2% Potency and Tenacity (stacking) until the end of battle.
  • Smuggler
    • Whenever a Smuggler ally has less than 100% Turn Meter and gains bonus Turn Meter, they gain 2% Critical Damage (stacking) for the rest of the encounter.
    • Whenever Smuggler allies inflict Stagger or Stun on an enemy, they deal bonus damage equal to 35% of that enemy’s Max Health.
    • Whenever a debuff on an enemy expires, Smuggler allies gain 2% Turn Meter, doubled if that debuff was dispelled by an enemy.
    • At the start of battle, Smuggler allies gain Retribution for 3 turns, which can’t be dispelled.
    • Whenever Smuggler allies target another ally with an ability during their turn, they both gain 5% Defense, Max Health, Max Protection, and Offense (stacking) until the end of battle.
    • At the end of their turn, Smuggler allies recover 50% Protection if they inflicted at least 5 debuffs that turn.
    • Whenever a debuff on an enemy expires, Smuggler allies gain 2% Potency and Tenacity (stacking) until the end of battle.
  • Resistance
    • Whenever a Resistance ally is critically hit, they gain 100% Critical Avoidance and 100% Critical Chance for 2 turns.
    • Whenever Resistance allies inflict Stagger or Stun on an enemy, they deal bonus damage equal to 35% of that enemy’s Max Health.
    • Whenever a debuff on an enemy expires, Resistance allies gain 2% Turn Meter, doubled if that debuff was dispelled by an enemy.
    • At the start of battle, Resistance allies gain Retribution for 3 turns, which can’t be dispelled.
    • Whenever Resistance allies target another ally with an ability during their turn, they both gain 5% Defense, Max Health, Max Protection, and Offense (stacking) until the end of battle.
    • At the end of their turn, Resistance allies recover 50% Protection if they inflicted at least 5 debuffs that turn.
    • Whenever a debuff on an enemy expires, Resistance allies gain 2% Potency and Tenacity (stacking) until the end of battle.

Character Mechanic Targets

  • 50R-T
    • While 50R-T is active, at the start of 50R-T’s turn, apply Spare Parts to all other Droid allies that do not have it. Whenever Droid allies gain Spare Parts, they gain +25% Offense (stacking) for the rest of the encounter. Whenever a Droid ally is defeated, dispel all debuffs on 50R-T.
  • Enfys Nest
    • Whenever Enfys Nest inflicts a debuff, they recover 25% of their Max Health and Max Protection (limit once per turn).
  • IG-11
    • Whenever IG-11 uses an ability, they deal more damage (max 100%) equal to half their Potency percentage. This effect will only trigger if IG-11 has more than 0% Potency.
  • K-2SO
    • K-2SO has +5% Max Health and Max Protection per Relic Amplifier level, and damage they receive is decreased by 15%.
  • L3-37
    • Whenever L3-37 is dealt Physical damage, reflect 20% of the damage dealt back onto the attacker, this damage can’t defeat enemies.
  • Qi’ra
    • Qi’ra has +100% Critical Chance and other Smuggler allies have half that amount. Prepared allies are immune to Turn Meter reduction and apply Healing Immunity for 1 turn when they use a Basic ability. At the start of her turn, Qi’ra gains Prepared. Whenever Qi’ra gains Prepared, all other Smuggler allies gain Prepared and gain 5% Turn Meter.
  • Resistance Hero Finn
    • Whenever another ally recovers Protection, Resistance Hero Finn gains Foresight for 1 turn.
  • Resistance Hero Poe
    • Whenever Resistance Hero Poe attacks out of turn, they recover 20% Health and Protection.
  • Resistance Pilot
    • Whenever Resistance Pilot evades an attack, they gain Critical Chance Up and Critical Damage Up for 2 turns and 50% Turn Meter.
  • Rose Tico
    • Whenever Rose uses Dauntless Bravery, inflict Expose on the target enemy for 2 turns, which can’t be resisted. Whenever Rose uses Shock Prod Strike, when the Stun expires inflict Deathmark for 1 turn. Whenever Rose uses a Basic ability on an enemy with Expose, dispel all buffs on the enemy and debuffs on herself, recover 100% Protection, and gain 5% Critical Damage (stacking, max 200%).
  • Sana Starros
    • The first time each turn Rebel allies or Sana deal damage more than once there is a 20% chance to increase all enemies’ cooldowns by 1.
  • T3-M4
    • Whenever T3-M4 critically hits an enemy, T3-M4 gains 10% Critical Damage, Defense Penetration, and Offense (stacking, max 200%) until the end of battle.
  • Threepio & Chewie
    • Threepio & Chewie are immune to Daze. Whenever they use a Basic ability, they gain 5% Offense (stacking) and all Rebel allies gain Protection Up (50%) for 1 turn. Whenever a Rebel ally scores a critical hit, dispel all debuffs on them.
  • Vandor Chewbacca
    • The first time Vandor Chewbacca is defeated, they are revived with 100% Health, gain Protection Over Time (75%) for 2 turns, and take a bonus turn.
  • Young Han Solo
    • Whenever Young Han Solo gains Retribution, they also gain 50% Health Steal and 20% Defense (stacking), and 10 Speed (stacking, max 200) for the rest of the encounter.
  • Zorii Bliss
    • If Stealth is dispelled on a Resistance or Smuggler ally, they gain a bonus turn. While Resistance or Smuggler allies are Stealthed, they have +100% Health Steal and their Basic abilities apply Tenacity Down to target enemy for 1 turn. Whenever a Resistance or Smuggler ally gains Damage Immunity or Stealth, they recover 100% Health and gain 20% Defense (stacking, max 200%).
