Thanks to datamined information and in-depth videos from a select three in the EA GameChangers program for Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes, we now have a pretty good idea of what to expect in upcoming new event in SWGoH. Let’s go through a map of Territory Battles – Hoth Invasion for each of the missions.
This article was orginally posted on Reddit, here is reworked version with updates.
Territory Battles is now a six day Guild event consisting of six phases that are each 24 hours long (originally planned 12 hrs over 3 days). After each phase, units that were used previously are reset to be used again.
CG announced early on that in Territory Battles Guilds can utilize up to 7,500 units which means 150 per guild member (characters + ships together). Hoth Invasion, however, will require some specific units (see our Territory Battles – Hoth: Guide to Characters & Ships You Will Need).
You cannot use the same characters repeatedly in one phase of Territory Battles. Once you use it in any mission or platoon squad, it is gone, so planning is needed. More about general strategy coming soon here on Gaming-fans.com.
In Territory Battles you can get shards of unique new characters, new currency called Guild Event Tokens, and boxes with prototypes and salvages of Gear XI and brand new Gear XII. Check out our Detailed Look at the Reward Structure for Territory Battles – Hoth for more.
Rewards are based on the number of earned stars, with a maximum of 45 stars (15 territories, max 3 star in each). You can get an idea of what rewards your Guild can fight for if you count a total power of your guild (see How to Calculate Power, Points & Earn Stars in Territory Battles – Hoth).
There are four types of missions in Hoth Invasion:
Special (Covert) Missions
– challenging battle with three waves of enemies
– only one attempt per territory battle
– you earn unique shards (Rebel Officer Leia Organa) and Guild Event Tokens
– require specific characters and teams
Combat (Strike) Missions
– battle with six waves of enemies which are progresively harder
– there are several combat missions in each phase
– you earn Territory Points
– combats look repetitive, probably can be done with some fixed teams but beware of chars needed in platoon and special missions
Platoon Missions
– essential for buffs and debuffs in upcoming territory
– require 90 specific units (chars + ships) across whole guild for one phase
– you should fulfill all slots (6 squadrons, 15 units each)
– one guild member can add 10 units max per phase
– units used in platoon can’t be used in any combat of current phase
– note: it appears you use characters only in ground platoons and ships only in air ones, this will be confirmed when TB is live
Deployment
– dump the rest of your units (even Dark Side) to increase territory points
– units used in special and combat missions will automatically deploy to specific territory where they were used
– note: once TB is live, i will update requirements on this, it is unclear if you can cross-deploy characters and ships on ground, respectively air territories

Do you have to complete each territory in a phase to continue, or is it better to complete one and move on to the next phase?
I believe I am correct in stating that you want to at least 1-star each Territory to advance – if you do not you cannot continue to move to the right. Thus, a 1-star in Phase 2 on both territories is more valuable than a 2-star in one and not beating the other.
Power Generator territory
Special (covert) mission: 4-star Light Side + Captain Han Solo + *Hoth Rebel Soldier
^^
this is 5 star
Do you know if anyone has a list of the characters that are needed in each of the patrols?
The platoons are random each time, no lists.
source?
It was stated in at least one preview video, and can be evidenced by every guild having different platoons (see the swgoh subreddit for examples)
Is there a chart showing the value for each level 1 thru 6 for each mission and phases in both TB.
