Welcome to the latest in our series of articles about the Transformers Earth Wars mobile game where we take a look at the best Power Cores for each bot. While our staff will never claim to have all of the answers for TFEW, we do our homework and test out each bot to ensure we are making only the best recommendations.
Today’s bots to review Power Cores for are Autobot Jazz & Mixmaster. Jazz and Mixmaster are some of the most devastating area damage gunners in the game. When you have clustered defenses to take out, Jazz and Mixmaster’s orbital strike ability, in combination with other bots, can wipe out a poorly designed base quickly and efficiently. This is balanced by the fact that although Jazz & Mixmaster have relatively high DPS, their DPS is below average for gunners. As gunners, they also have very low HP, but their survival is crucial as gunners are the backbone to most armies due to their DPS and ability damage. Should you try and make sure your bots survive or should you maximize their damage output?
Best Power Core for Autobot Jazz & Mixmaster:
G1 Jazz & G1 Mixmaster – Even with a lowly bronze Volatile Mixture or G1 Jazz / Mixmaster core, these bots will shine. The difference in a Volatile Mixture Bronze core vs. a G1 Jazz / Mixmaster core (for any comparable level) is only 0.5% in favor of the G1 core. Strictly speaking, while the G1 core is better, the slight increase in damage, it makes almost no difference which core you use. On a Special Ability Level 9, and a 5-star Jazz at Level 53, we only see a difference of 17(!) damage points (thanks to Josh Walkover on Facebook for the comparison!). Many players do not have access to the Spark to take these bots to very high ability levels, so these cores help Jazz / Mixmaster take out these defenses with a lower investment in Spark. Also, the area of effect (AoE) damage presented by these bots means that an increase in this damage will, in combination with defensive reduction with a Glass Gas attack or Fusion Bomb, take out a sizeable portion of the defense.
