Dread The Darkness – Mission 4

Namor, 62,962,628 enemy health

06.16.20 – After over a month of battles on Mission #3 which had 48m health, this one is even tougher. One difference is I start this battle with 8 characters who can fight daily and can mix and match these characters. It does appear that it will be some time before I am able to add to this list.

My team of five in the first battle will look a little different after Phoenix summoned Dark Phoenix in Mission #3, so without Phoenix as an option, Namor will step in to replace her for today. Thus my starting five is Namor, Captain Marvel, Minn-erva, Black Panther and Ultron which come in at 475k power.

10 enemies start the battle against me and all I can say is wow. I do not even get a single attack in as they wipe me out after a few hits. Without Phoenix I literally do not even do any damage at all… So much for getting an attack in today to help chip away at the iceberg…

06.17.20 – Day 2 (kinda) is underway. Day 1 was a waste, despite having 7 of 8 characters available, as the power of the enemies was just disgusting. The difference today is I have Phoenix to do her nuke/zap thing and allow me to chip away a bit each day.

I use Phoenix, Captain Marvel, Minn-erva, Namor and Ultron who combine for 480k power. The battle is really not worth writing about as Phoenix is the only member of my team to do anything of significance. CM and Namor each get an attack in and I am able to take 3m off of their health, which is a joke IMO, but at least it is progress.

06.19.20 – After my first two days’ experience, I conveniently forgot to fight yesterday. Today I start and before I can take a turn Captain Marvel is dead and Namor is barely alive. Phoenix and Ultron get one attack each and all other damage comes from Phoenix as I end up with the enemy having 56.8m health when I am done.

06.20.20 – Back for my daily dose of punishment, I do not think I will be using my second team (currently of 3) at all until the healer (Shuri) is off the board, and that may be a while…

I start with BP in place of Namor for now so that I have 482k power. Shuri is again my target and she heals immediately, but then they kill Phoenix and get her to summon Dark Phoenix and zap them, so this is going well because of that alone. I land a CM ultimate with all enemies having Defense Down, but after that I do not get another attack. While I left several enemies in yellow and red health, I still have zero kills. Tomorrow I will face the enemies with 53.7m health.

06.21.20 – Today I have some hope as I know I enter the battle with the enemies low on health. Shuri adds Defense Up for the bad guys, but when they start to target Phoenix her abilities trigger the offense I need. SHIELD Security and Mordo are killed off, but that is all I can take out before they finish me off. Tomorrow will begin with the enemies having 51m health.

06.22.20 – The notable difference with my roster today is the 100 shards of Namor I got in a Mega Orb which got him to 7-stars, and as a result 7 red stars. This brings Namor to 122,242 – an increase of 19k alone.

As a result of the above, Namor is the 5th member of my starting five which is now 499k in total. Eight enemies greet me rudely, all starting with red health, but Shuri heals, a couple of hits down Phoenix who does her thing, zaps them all back to red and Ultron gets the lone other attack in as he uses his basic on Shuri. This silly attempt at an attack nets no damage as the enemies have more health (51.4m) now than when I started (51.0m).

06.23.20 – After yesterday’s mess that saw me take a step backwards, I am back for another butt-kicking. 8 enemies are on-screen, all in red health but one, a Mercenary Lieutenant, in yellow health. I take a few shots and Minn-erva’s heal is up, so I drain health from the enemies and kill one off. Phoenix takes a few hits and 3 more enemies are dead as today will feel like the most progress in Dark Dimension III ever, despite it not likely being that way statistically. Namor kills the enemy Namor then reinforcements come and Phoenix immediately zaps them. RNG is on my side today. More reinforcements and I have 10 on my screen and 35 of 45 to go. I start working on the taunters to eliminate them ASAP and another hit and they gang up on me and kill off my entire team. Tomorrow I will start with 35 enemies left and 48.1m health to go.

06.24.20 – Before I even take a turn I lose Minn-erva and Captain Marvel. Whoa. Phoenix summons and I start the battle offensively with her health zap, then I take several hits and I am done. I use my team of 3 and do not get a single offensive turn. This is fun…

Tomorrow I will start with my enemies having 44.3m health.

06.25.20 – I start this battle with Namor dead already. I take a turn with Minn-erva, then everyone gets killed, Phoenix summons and zaps and the battle is over. This is pretty much the daily story for the next few days and makes for a terrible live-blog experience.

06.26.20 – In today’s edition of Phoenix Zap Daily, I start with 35 of 45 enemies and 10 on-screen. Stryfe goes first and one-shots Minn-erva and the process of the Phoenix Zap has begun. Ultron is the only other member of my team to get a hit in, and Phoenix is able to take out Hawkeye and weaken the rest. Another 3+ million damage is laughable, but it is what it is.

06.27.20 – For Saturday’s edition of Phoenix Zap Daily, I start with 34 of 45 enemies (36.7m health) and 9 on-screen. Five of the enemies are in red health with the other four in yellow. Phoenix gets hit, and then my CM his Stryfe, then they cause the initial Phoenix zap and 3 enemies are dead. Now 31 enemies remain and 3 in red health on the screen, and once again I have to hit the taunting Stryfe. CM and Namor get their ultimates off and I kill off one of the Stryfes on-screen, then they kill off everyone but CM. She gets a basic on the weakest Namor and kills him before they kill her. Tomorrow I will start with 29 enemies remaining and 35.4m health to go.

06.28.20 – Sunday’s edition of Phoenix Zap Daily sees me facing a total of 29 enemies of which just 7 are on-screen. Four of seven, Killmonger, Namor, Stryfe and Kingpin, are red health and I focus on Killmonger but cannot kill him before I am wiped out. This was a sad battle as only 800k damage was registered.

06.29.20 – Hoping for an improvement over yesterday, Monday’s edition of Phoenix Zap Daily sees me facing 29 enemies who have a total of 34.6m health. Removing Killmonger is my priority and I am able to do so from a basic from CM and Phoenix. The gamble on not using the Phoenix special pays off, because after a barrage of hits that kill off Minn-erva and CM and summon Dark Phoenix, the Phoenix zap kills the other three in red health – Namor, Stryfe and Kingpin – taking me to 25 of 45 remaining. Another round from the enemies, including new reinforcements, and Phoenix is up again with her ultimate, which she uses on the six enemies on-screen. She lands her big hit, gets killed and we’re done for today. 31.9m health remains heading into tomorrow across 25 enemies.

06.30.20 – Tuesday’s edition of Phoenix Zap Daily sees me up against 25 enemies holding 31.9m health. Pyro and the Merc Lieutenant are in yellow health, the other four in green. I am actually able to kill off the ML thanks to the Phoenix Zap and Pyro shortly thereafter, but reinforcements arrive and kill me off with 23 enemies to go.

07.02.20 – I missed my attack yesterday, so I am back for Thursday’s edition of Phoenix Zap Daily as I face the final 23 enemies remaining who have 28.5m health. Six enemies are on-screen with Namor in red health and CM’s ultimate up first, so I focus attacks on Namor. Phoenix gets hit and has to do her summons, then the zap kills Namor. I lose CM, but then Minn-erva revives her, and Phoenix gets to her ultimate which kills off a SHILED Security and Hawkeye, and as I work to take out the other SS a big wave of reinforcements arrives. I am able to remove the second SS before I am killed off leaving 19 enemies to go and 3.7m damage today, one of my best days ever.

07.03.20 – Friday’s Phoenix Zap Daily sees me facing 7 enemies on-screen of the 19 total enemies remaining. Stryfe and Magneto are in yellow health while the rest are all full health. Since Magneto is a huge pain in the butt, I am targeting him first. Once summoned, Dark Phoenix takes Magneto to red health but gets stunned, and I only get 2 attacks and the summons zap in for 400k damage. I add in an attack with my threesome of BP, ST and Punisher and do not even get to take a turn. Tomorrow will start with 24.4m health remaining.

07.04.20 – The July 4th edition of the Phoenix Zap Daily sees me facing the same 7 enemies on-screen as yesterday with Magneto in red health. My one roast change is that Minn-erva is now 6 red stars after the Wakandan event got me the currency to upgrade her last night.

Magneto takes a couple of hits, but the Phoenix Zaps do him in leaving Stryfe in red health and the other 6 on-screen around 50-60% health. Now at 18 enemies to go, I hit Stryfe with literally everything I have, including the Phoenix and ME ultimates, the latter of which kills him off. Now 5 enemies remain on-screen, and 17 overall, so I focus on Mordo and get him to red health before I die.

07.06.20 – After forgetting to attack yesterday, I enter this battle with 17 enemies remaining and 19.1m health to go as my standard team of Phoenix, Minn-erva, Captain Marvel, Ultron and Namor have 506k power. Five enemies are on-screen with Mordo, Stryfe and Hawkeye all red health, Kingpin and Killmonger are yellow. I hit Mordo several times and when he dies reinforcements arrive – a SHIELD Security, Stryfe, Pyro and Namor. I am able to get the original Stryfe down to minimal health before a Namor AoE kills off almost everyone on my team and they finish me off from there with ease.

07.07.20 – Back for the latest edition of Phoenix Zap Daily and I have 15 enemies remaining with a total of 16.3m health left and 5 on-screen. Stryfe is ready to die and Killmonger and Kingpin are also red health with Namor and Pyro joining them. I am able to take out both Stryfe and Killmonger quickly, and four reinforcements arrive. After losing Namor and CM, ME revives CM and I get more hits in on Kingpin. Phoenix is killed and summons Dark Phoenix who zaps Kingpin dead, and then the baddies gang up on me and kill my team with 12 enemies remaining.

07.08.20 – Before I even get an attack in Phoenix takes a hit, but I am able to get a couple of attacks in before the Phoenix Zaps weekend the enemy. Ultron and Namor help take out Pyro, but that is the end of today’s success as the enemies overwhelm me afterwards leaving 11 enemies to beat to complete this mission.

07.09.20 – I will begin with 11 enemies and 11.176m health to go. 8 of the final 11 enemies are on-screen with SHIELD Security in red and Namor, Magneto, Stryfe and Merciless Lieutenant in yellow, Pyro, Killmonger and Kingpin in green health. The Phoenix Zap kills SS and Ultron’s ultimate takes out the ML, then Namor takes out his Namor opponent before I get wiped out. I will begin tomorrow with 8 enemies left and 7.7m health to go as I near the finish line on Mission #4.

07.10.20 – The Phoenix Zap Daily begins with my 506k team facing 8 of the 45 enemies who remain. All 8 are on-screen and before I even take a turn, CM is dead and Stryfe is taunting with barrier. An Ultron basic does not dispel the taunt, then a Namor AoE by the bad guys kills all but Phoenixe and Minn-erva. The Phoenix zap weakens them all, but I am still stuck hitting Stryfe with barrier. Luckily I have Phoenix, who zaps in her turn then sets up Minn-erva to heal by draining health from the enemies. While this is all I can accomplish in this battle, I have just 6 enemies and 3.7m health left until this battle is over.

I went ahead and tried a battle with BP, ST and Punisher, who tally up 289k power. BP hits Killmonger and then Namor uses his special and one-shots my party as I knock off about 40k health.

07.14.20 – After a couple of days off thanks to a busy schedule and just plain forgetting, I am back to finish this board off. Facing 6 enemies – Pyro, Hawkeye, Stryfe, Namor, Kingpin and Killmonger – my goal is to remove the two with red health – Pyro and Killmonger. I am able to kill the Wakandan bad guy with normal attacks before the Phoenix Zap takes out Pyro leaving just 4 enemies remaining, Kingpin in red and the others all in yellow health. After taking Kingpin out, a Captain Marvel Ultimate helps me get down to a 5 v 2 with just Namor and Stryfe alive against me. The big Phoenix Zap – the Ultimate attack – helps me take advantage of the numbers and get the win in the end.
