Historically, Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes is a game that has had very few “deals” for the Pay-to-Play fans. The prices are what they are, and other than a few holiday “25% more crystals” deals and the old “21-day crystal packs” that gave the buyer 100 crystals a day for 21 days for about $12 USD, the prices have been pretty set, with few offers that ever made me say “I have to buy that.” But with the addition of the limited-time Gear Completion Bundles in SWGoH, that seems to have changed. The Gear Completion Bundles were first introduced in mid-October 2020 and offer $5 and $10 options to gain much-needed gear items and were dubbed by popular YouTuber AhnaldT101 as a “great value,” and I concur. Let’s take a look at these packs.

What did I get from the Gear Completion Bundles?
My experiences with the Gear Completion Bundles have been very good. The first time these were in-game I purchased multiple, although I cannot remember how many. Now 5 weeks later, I have already purchased the $4.99 pack all five times I was allowed to. Here is what I received:
- 1st Pull – 50 Mk 7 Kyrotech Shock Prod Prototype Salvage & 25 Mk 9 Kyrotech Battle Computer Prototype Salvage
- 2nd Pull – 50 Mk 3 Czerka Stun Cuffs Salvage, 50 Mk 9 Kyrotech Battle Computer Prototype Salvage & 50 Mk 8 BioTech Implant Component
- 3rd Pull – 50 Mk 7 Kyrotech Shock Prod Prototype Salvage & 25 Mk 9 Kyrotech Battle Computer Prototype Salvage
- 4th Pull – 50 Mk 7 Kyrotech Shock Prod Prototype Salvage & 25 Mk 9 Kyrotech Battle Computer Prototype Salvage
- 5th Pull – 50 Mk 7 Kyrotech Shock Prod Prototype Salvage & 25 Mk 9 Kyrotech Battle Computer Prototype Salvage
So as you can see, while I only received the best option one time, pulling so many Mk 7 Kyrotech Shock Prods & Mk 9 Kyrotech Battle Computers was a big boost to my roster and this allowed me to take two more characters to Gear 13.
Update: On 11.19.20 I went ahead and bought one $9.99 pack as well, landing Option 2: 50 Stun Guns + 50 Stun Cuffs + 25 Carbantis.
Should I Buy the Gear Completion Bundles?
This question is all about where you are in the game and how willing you are to drop $5 or $10 on a mobile game. For me 7.3m GP, the value is in the gear. I continue to build out the depth of my massive roster, and these packs are a far better value than the standard pricing used in SWGoH. Comparatively speaking, the value is the best I have seen in Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes.
