MSF Envoy: New Shadowland Faction to include reworks of Daredevil, Elektra & Night Nurse

MSF - Endgame

Players of Marvel Strike Force may remember a time when Elektra was one of the first characters they used, Night Nurse was seen as a good healer and Daredevil’s faction, the Defenders, were a near-dominant force. As is the case with Squad RPG games, the power creep and introduction of new characters can make older ones irrelevant and cause any resources spent on these characters to be seem wasted. But unlike titles with similar functionality and gameplay, the developers of Marvel Strike Force continue to be able to evolve with the times and often times set the bar so high that similar games struggle to keep up. That appears to be the case yet again with Scopely’s upcoming addition of the Shadowland faction. In addition to two new playable characters, White Tiger and Moon Knight are coming to MSF, these three characters – Daredevil, Elektra and Night Nurse – are all about to become quite relevant once again. Note that all information on them and the info below is subject to change.

Here is the look at the planned reworks for Daredevil, Elektra & Night Nurse in MSF:

 

Daredevil

​(base Health stat improved by 11%)
Added trait: Shadowland

Basic​:

  • Old:
    • Attack primary target for 270% damage.
    • 50% chance to Bonus attack for 200% damage.
    • If target is VILLAIN, always Bonus attack.
  • New:
    • Attack primary target for 270% damage + ​Bonus ​attack for 200% damage.
    • When forced to attack an ally, this character deals less damage to SHADOWLAND characters.

Special​:

  • Old:
    • Attack primary target for 200% damage + Chain to 2 targets within 2 spaces of previous target for 150% damage. Dodge breaks this Chain.
    • Apply 2 Counter to self and all DEFENDER allies.
  • New:
    • Attack primary target for 200% damage + Chain to 2 targets within 2 spaces ofprevious target for 150% damage. Dodge breaks this Chain.
    • Apply 2 Counter to self and all DEFENDER ​and SHADOWLAND​ allies.

Ultimate​:

  • Old:
    • Attack primary target for 400% damage + Chain to 4-6 adjacent targets for 240% damage.
    • Counterattack breaks this Chain.
  • New:
    • Attack primary target for 400% damage + Chain to 4-6 adjacent targets for 240% damage.
    • Counterattack breaks this Chain.
    • If this character has 3 or more SHADOWLAND allies this attack cannot be Blocked.

Passive​:

  • Old:
    • Self and DEFENDER allies gain +10% Speed. This is applied after any character has taken an action.
    • Gain +5% Dodge chance. Gain +5% Dodge chance per DEFENDER ally.
    • Gain +10% Damage.
  • New:
    • Gain +10% Speed for Self, DEFENDER, ​and SHADOWLAND​ allies. This is applied after any character has taken an action.
    • Gain +5% Dodge chance. Gain +5% Dodge chance per DEFENDER ​orSHADOWLAND​ ally.
    • Gain +10% Damage.
    • In WAR:
      • If this character has Offense Up, gain +25% Crit Chance for each SHADOWLAND ally.
      • Gain an additional +10% Speed for Self.
      • SHADOWLAND allies gain an additional +10% Speed.

Elektra

​(base Health stat improved by 11%)
Added trait: Shadowland

Basic​:

  • Old:
    • Attack primary target for 200% damage + 70% chance to apply Bleed.
    • If target is a DEFENDER, apply 3 Bleed and gain +1,000% Extra Focus for this attack.
  • New:
    • Attack primary target for 200% damage + apply Bleed.
    • If this character has 3 or more SHADOWLAND allies​, or the target is a DEFENDER, apply 3 Bleed and gain +1,000% Extra Focus for this attack.
    • When forced to attack an ally, this character deals less damage to SHADOWLAND characters.

Special​:

  • Old:
    • Attack primary target for 160% damage + clear 2 positive effects.
    • Gain Stealth.
  • New:
    • Attack primary target for ​300%​ damage + clear ​2-3 positive effects.
    • Gain Stealth ​for 2 turns​.

Ultimate​:

  • Old:
    • Attack primary target for 530% damage.
  • New:
    • Attack primary target for ​600% ​damage + ​20% Piercing​.
    • In WAR, with 4 or more SHADOWLAND allies, apply Disrupted for 2 turns to primary target.
    • Gain +500% Extra Focus for this attack​.

Passive​:

  • Old:
    • On Spawn, a random HAND ally gains Evade.
    • 15% chance to Revive on Death with 20% of Max Health.
  • New:
    • On Spawn, apply Evade ​and Stealth ​to all ​adjacent SHADOWLAND and​ HAND allies.
    • 15% chance to Revive on Death with 20% of Max Health.
    • In WAR:
      • Gain +40% Focus.
      • SHADOWLAND allies gain +40% Focus.
      • On Spawn, generate 1 ability energy for self.
      • If this character has 4 or more SHADOWLAND allies, gain 85% chance to Revive on Death

Night Nurse

Added trait: Shadowland

Basic​:

  • Old:
    • Attack primary target for 250% damage + 50% chance to apply Slow for 2 turn(s).
  • New:
    • Attack primary target for ​320% ​damage + ​apply ​Slow for 2 turns.
    • If this character has 2 or more SHADOWLAND allies, Flip 2 positive effectsto negative effects on the primary target.
    • When forced to attack an ally, this character deals less damage to SHADOWLAND characters.

Special​:

  • Old:
    • Heal lowest Health ally for 4,200 Health + 20% of this character’s Max Health.
  • New:
    • Clear 3 negative effects from the most injured ally and all adjacent allies​.
    • Heal the most injured ally ​and all adjacent allies​ for 4,200 Health + 20% of this character’s Max Health.
    • Call the ally with the highest Damage to attack the primary target.

Ultimate​:

  • Old:
    • Heal all allies for 3,200 Health + 10% of this character’s Max Health.
    • Apply 2 Regeneration to each ally.
  • New:
    • Flip 3 negative effects on self and all SHADOWLAND allies.
    • Heal all allies for ​4,000 Health + 15%​ of this character’s Max Health.
    • Apply 2 Regeneration to each ally.

Passive​:

  • Old:
    • On turn, if the ally with the least Health has less than 100% Health, 25% chance to Heal them for 15% of this character’s Max Health.
  • New:
    • On turn, 25% chance to heal the most injured ally for 15% of this character’s Max Health.
    • When this character or any SHADOWLAND ally drops below 50% Max Health, apply Defense Up to that character + fill this character’s Speed Bar by 30%.
    • In WAR, on Turn, heal the most injured SHADOWLAND ally for 15% of this character’s Max Health
