MSF: Best Iso-8 for Ironheart

Ironheart - MSF

Welcome to the Iso-8 guide for Ironheart, the latest in our series about the popular game Marvel Strike Force. In this series we look at the best Iso-8 enhancements for MSF characters. While some may refer to Iso-8 as simply “mods” like in other mobile games, we will look to stay true to the naming convention of the Marvel universe and the developers over at Scopely. We at Gaming-fans.com certainly do not claim to have all of the answers in this game, but we do our research and look to use every hero and villain we write about extensively. These are Iso-8 recommendations based on the character’s kit and actual gameplay to help you in your quest to dominate in Marvel Strike Force. Note that these Iso-8 classes may differ from one team makeup to another, so feel free use this as guide knowing that these can change in differing situations within MSF’s gameplay.

Today’s character to review is Ironheart, the most recent character addition to the Power Armor faction who is farmable on Villains 7-9. As the Power Armor faction has fluctuated in it’s importance in MSF over time, when used to counter top-tier teams you’r going to need a strong Ironheart to maximize your team’s effectiveness. Let’s take a look at the stats we want to focus on enhancing now that Iso-8 modifications have been added to Marvel Strike Force.

Main Focus: Ironheart is a Blaster and the second fastest member of the Power Armor team (only Rescue has a higher base Speed). Her T4 Ability upgrade on her Prodigy unique greatly impacts the survivability of the Power Armor faction, but she can reduce the enemy’s Speed bar and apply Defense Down, so I lean toward focus and survivability as the main areas to enhance first to improve her effectiveness in battle.

Ideal Iso-8 Class for Ironheart in Marvel Strike Force:

The makeup of teams in Marvel Strike Force is very interesting, and one popular counter in MSF is using Power Armor with Ultron against Emmarauders. In this lineup, or in a full Power Armor lineup, Ironheart will be the first attacker to take a turn when things work as intended (supposing no early debuffs or reduction of your Speed bar), and as a result using Ironheart to set the table by adding the Vulnerable status effect to enemies is a good move. This will then allow for War Machine and Falcon to land their attacks, then either Iron Man (on a full PA team), or Ultron (when used in that specific counter) will take the final turn. Basically, having Ironheart act as a Skirmisher and following with War Machine as a Striker, then Falcon as a Raider which allows for Iron Man or Ultron to use the Striker role effectively to weaken your enemies efficiently and improve your chances for a victory.
