While it has been a while since we last updated the community on Avatar Pandora Rising, the players of the game got an update this week that is definitely interesting. After testing the game in other countries for the past 18 months, the developers at Scopely have put the game on hold, “removing it from the app stores for new players and turning off the ability to make in-app purchases.” In a nutshell, they are planning to rework the game an make major changes to how it is played and works, and players will not be able to make purchases, but will be able to keep playing, after the June 9 date they have set. Here is a look at the update post published on the official Website for Avatar Pandora Rising:
We’re thankful for how dedicated you’ve all been to the fight for Pandora and the valuable feedback you’ve shared along the way. Our team has been focused on building out a plan based on what we’ve learned in our Initial Launch period, and while we can’t share specifics just yet, we are excited about the next phase for Avatar: Pandora Rising and committed to making this game the best experience possible for our players and fans of Avatar. As we enter the next phase of development, you’ll be able to keep playing the current iteration of the game, but we will be limiting the availability of the game by removing it from the app stores for new players and turning off the ability to make in-app purchases on Wednesday June 9, 2021 @ 11:00AM PDT.
In this phase of development, our team will be heads down working on major changes for the next version of the game. We’ll share updates with you when we can. We’re also forming a plan to bring you, our dedicated players into the new experience. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we focus on this next iteration of the game.
