MSF: Best Iso-8 for Echo

Echo - MSF

Welcome to the Iso-8 guide for Echo, the latest in our series about the popular game Marvel Strike Force. In this series we look at the best Iso-8 enhancements for MSF characters. While some may refer to Iso-8 as simply “mods” like in other mobile games, we will look to stay true to the naming convention of the Marvel universe and the developers over at Scopely. We at Gaming-fans.com certainly do not claim to have all of the answers in this game, but we do our research and look to use every hero and villain we write about extensively. These are Iso-8 recommendations based on the character’s kit and actual gameplay to help you in your quest to dominate in Marvel Strike Force. Note that these Iso-8 classes may differ from one team makeup to another, so feel free use this as a guide knowing that these can change in differing situations within MSF’s gameplay.

Today’s character to review is Echo. One of the newest characters in Marvel Strike Force at the time of this writing, Echo and Kate Bishop were added in February 2022 to complete the Young Avengers faction. In the game Echo is a Hero, Global, Skill, Brawler who is of course a member of the Young Avengers faction. Let’s take a look at the stats we want to focus on enhancing through Iso-8 modifications in Marvel Strike Force.

Main Focus: Echo is the slowest member of the Web-Warrior faction with a base Speed of 98, but this is obviously by design by the developers. She has the 3rd highest base damage stat in the game and you definitely want to build on this strength to keep her hitting hard.

Ideal Iso-8 Class for Echo in Marvel Strike Force:

The MSF.gg bot pulls up Striker as the most-used Iso-8 class for Echo when you run it on Discord, but this is a rare time I am going a different direction. Echo already has the 3rd-highest base Damage stat in the game meaning she will hit hard when geared up, but both her basic and her Tonfa Bash special have additional Critical Chance built into the attacks. When you add in her base CC these attacks will be landing crits 30-35% of the time, but as a Raider this adds up to 30% CC after reaching Tier 2, Level 1 as a Raider. A 60-65% Crit Chance is incredibly rare in MSF already, and given this would also boost her by 20% Crit Damage this could be quite important.

Now as you look at turn order, here is why I like this set. We know that Young Avenger teammate America Chavez has a line in her unique that reads “On War Defense, on Spawn, fill Speed Bar by 25% for adjacent allies.” If you strategically place her between the new girls in the group, Kate Bishop and Echo, this will boost them both to take their turns far sooner, allowing for a Skirmisher, in this case I recommend Kate Bishop, to land the Vulnerable Iso-8 status effect, then allow Ehoc to follow with a strong hit of her own. If America Chavez is a Striker then she can gain the extra attacks and this trio can do their damage. While this may not be the ideal setup for all, feedback is certainly welcome as are your own personal successes and failures. So for now, I am recommending Echo utilize the Raider class.
